וַיֹּ֨אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֜ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֵלַ֗י ’ê·lay, to me GRAM DICO
מָֽה־ māh- what GRAM DICO
אַתָּ֤ה ’at·tāh you GRAM DICO
؟
רֹאֶה֙ rō·’eh do see GRAM DICO
עָמ֔וֹס ‘ā·mō·ws, Amos GRAM DICO
､
וָאֹמַ֖ר wā·’ō·mar and I said GRAM DICO
､
אֲנָ֑ךְ ’ă·nāḵ; a plumb line GRAM DICO
.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO
אֲדֹנָ֗י ’ă·ḏō·nāy, the Lord GRAM DICO
､
הִנְנִ֨י hin·nî behold I GRAM DICO
שָׂ֤ם śām am setting GRAM DICO
אֲנָךְ֙ ’ă·nāḵ a plumb line GRAM DICO
בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ bə·qe·reḇ in the midst GRAM DICO
עַמִּ֣י ‘am·mî of My people GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, Israel GRAM DICO

לֹֽא־ lō- Not GRAM DICO
אוֹסִ֥יף ’ō·w·sîp̄ I will GRAM DICO
ע֖וֹד ‘ō·wḏ anymore GRAM DICO
–
עֲב֥וֹר ‘ă·ḇō·wr pass GRAM DICO
לֽוֹ׃ lōw. by them GRAM

Amos 7, 9
וְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ wə·nā·šam·mū And shall be desolate GRAM DICO
､
בָּמ֣וֹת bā·mō·wṯ the high places GRAM DICO
יִשְׂחָ֔ק yiś·ḥāq, of Isaac GRAM DICO
וּמִקְדְּשֵׁ֥י ū·miq·də·šê and the sanctuaries GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל yiś·rā·’êl of Israel GRAM DICO
יֶחֱרָ֑בוּ ye·ḥĕ·rā·ḇū; shall be laid waste GRAM DICO
–
וְקַמְתִּ֛י wə·qam·tî and I will rise GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- against GRAM DICO
בֵּ֥ית bêṯ the house GRAM DICO
יָרָבְעָ֖ם yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām of Jeroboam GRAM DICO
בֶּחָֽרֶב׃ be·ḥā·reḇ. with the sword GRAM DICO

וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח way·yiš·laḥ, And sent GRAM DICO
אֲמַצְיָה֙ ’ă·maṣ·yāh Amaziah GRAM DICO
כֹּהֵ֣ן kō·hên the priest GRAM DICO
בֵּֽית־ bêṯ- of GRAM
אֵ֔ל ’êl, Bethel GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
יָרָבְעָ֥ם yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām Jeroboam GRAM DICO
מֶֽלֶךְ־ me·leḵ- king GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל yiś·rā·’êl of Israel GRAM DICO
､
לֵאמֹ֑ר lê·mōr; saying GRAM DICO
､
קָשַׁ֨ר qā·šar has conspired GRAM DICO
עָלֶ֜יךָ ‘ā·le·ḵā against you GRAM DICO
עָמ֗וֹס ‘ā·mō·ws, Amos GRAM DICO
בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ bə·qe·reḇ in the midst GRAM DICO
בֵּ֣ית bêṯ of the house GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO
–
לֹא־ lō- not GRAM DICO
תוּכַ֣ל ṯū·ḵal is able GRAM DICO
הָאָ֔רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ, the land GRAM DICO
לְהָכִ֖יל lə·hā·ḵîl to bear GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO
דְּבָרָֽיו׃ də·ḇā·rāw. his words GRAM DICO

כִּי־ kî- For GRAM DICO
כֹה֙ ḵōh thus GRAM DICO
אָמַ֣ר ’ā·mar has said GRAM DICO
､
עָמ֔וֹס ‘ā·mō·ws, Amos GRAM DICO
בַּחֶ֖רֶב ba·ḥe·reḇ by the sword GRAM DICO
､
יָמ֣וּת yā·mūṯ shall die GRAM DICO
יָרָבְעָ֑ם yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām; Jeroboam GRAM DICO
וְיִ֨שְׂרָאֵ֔ל wə·yiś·rā·’êl, and Israel GRAM DICO
גָּלֹ֥ה gā·lōh surely GRAM DICO
יִגְלֶ֖ה yiḡ·leh shall be led away captive GRAM DICO
מֵעַ֥ל mê·‘al from GRAM DICO
אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃ ’aḏ·mā·ṯōw. their own land GRAM DICO

חֹזֶ֕ה ḥō·zeh you seer GRAM DICO
､
לֵ֥ךְ lêḵ go GRAM DICO
､
בְּרַח־ bə·raḥ- Flee GRAM DICO
לְךָ֖ lə·ḵā to GRAM
אֶל־ ’el-  -  GRAM DICO
אֶ֣רֶץ ’e·reṣ the land GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֑ה yə·hū·ḏāh; of Judah GRAM DICO
､
וֶאֱכָל־ we·’ĕ·ḵāl- and eat GRAM DICO
שָׁ֣ם šām there GRAM DICO
לֶ֔חֶם le·ḥem, bread GRAM DICO
､
וְשָׁ֖ם wə·šām and there GRAM DICO
–
תִּנָּבֵֽא׃ tin·nā·ḇê. prophesy GRAM DICO

וּבֵֽית־ ū·ḇêṯ- But at
אֵ֔ל ’êl, Bethel GRAM DICO
､
לֹֽא־ lō- never GRAM DICO
תוֹסִ֥יף ṯō·w·sîp̄ again GRAM DICO
ע֖וֹד ‘ō·wḏ again GRAM DICO
לְהִנָּבֵ֑א lə·hin·nā·ḇê; prophesy GRAM DICO
כִּ֤י kî for GRAM DICO
מִקְדַּשׁ־ miq·daš- the sanctuary GRAM DICO
､
מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ me·leḵ of king GRAM DICO
ה֔וּא hū, it [is] GRAM DICO
וּבֵ֥ית ū·ḇêṯ and the residence GRAM DICO
.
מַמְלָכָ֖ה mam·lā·ḵāh Royal GRAM DICO
הֽוּא׃ hū. it [is] GRAM DICO

עָמוֹס֙ ‘ā·mō·ws Amos GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
אֲמַצְיָ֔ה ’ă·maṣ·yāh, Amaziah GRAM DICO
､
לֹא־ lō- no GRAM DICO
נָבִ֣יא nā·ḇî prophet GRAM DICO
､
אָנֹ֔כִי ’ā·nō·ḵî, I [was] GRAM DICO
וְלֹ֥א wə·lō nor GRAM DICO
בֶן־ ḇen- a son GRAM DICO
–
נָבִ֖יא nā·ḇî of a prophet GRAM DICO
אָנֹ֑כִי ’ā·nō·ḵî; [was] I GRAM DICO
כִּֽי־ kî- but GRAM DICO
בוֹקֵ֥ר ḇō·w·qêr a sheepbreeder GRAM DICO
､
אָנֹ֖כִי ’ā·nō·ḵî I [was] GRAM DICO
וּבוֹלֵ֥ס ū·ḇō·w·lês and a tender GRAM DICO
שִׁקְמִֽים׃ šiq·mîm. of sycamore [fruit] GRAM DICO
–
suivant
