וַיְהִ֗י way·hî, And it came to pass GRAM DICO

יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘, of Joshua GRAM DICO

וַֽיִּשְׁאֲלוּ֙ way·yiš·’ă·lū that asked GRAM DICO

בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO

בַּיהוָ֖ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

לֵאמֹ֑ר lê·mōr; saying GRAM DICO

､

מִ֣י mî who GRAM DICO

יַעֲלֶה־ ya·‘ă·leh- shall go up GRAM DICO

לָּ֧נוּ lā·nū for us GRAM

אֶל־ ’el- against GRAM DICO

הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֛י hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî the Canaanite GRAM DICO

בַּתְּחִלָּ֖ה bat·tə·ḥil·lāh first GRAM DICO

､

לְהִלָּ֥חֶם lə·hil·lā·ḥem to fight GRAM DICO

בּֽוֹ׃ bōw. against them GRAM

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

יַעֲלֶ֑ה ya·‘ă·leh; shall go up GRAM DICO

הִנֵּ֛ה hin·nêh indeed GRAM DICO

נָתַ֥תִּי nā·ṯat·tî I have delivered GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

הָאָ֖רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ the land GRAM DICO

בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ bə·yā·ḏōw. into his hand GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer So said GRAM DICO

יְהוּדָה֩ yə·hū·ḏāh Judah GRAM DICO

לְשִׁמְע֨וֹן lə·šim·‘ō·wn to Simeon GRAM DICO

אָחִ֜יו ’ā·ḥîw his brother GRAM DICO

､

עֲלֵ֧ה ‘ă·lêh come up GRAM DICO

אִתִּ֣י ’it·tî with me GRAM DICO

בְגוֹרָלִ֗י ḇə·ḡō·w·rā·lî, to my allotted territory GRAM DICO

､

וְנִֽלָּחֲמָה֙ wə·nil·lā·ḥă·māh that we may fight GRAM DICO

בַּֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י bak·kə·na·‘ă·nî, against the Canaanite GRAM DICO

–

וְהָלַכְתִּ֧י wə·hā·laḵ·tî and will go GRAM DICO

גַם־ ḡam- likewise GRAM DICO

אֲנִ֛י ’ă·nî I GRAM DICO

אִתְּךָ֖ ’it·tə·ḵā with you GRAM DICO

בְּגוֹרָלֶ֑ךָ bə·ḡō·w·rā·le·ḵā; to your allotted territory GRAM DICO

וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ way·yê·leḵ And went GRAM DICO

אִתּ֖וֹ ’it·tōw with him GRAM DICO

שִׁמְעֽוֹן׃ šim·‘ō·wn. Simeon GRAM DICO

Juges 1, 4

וַיַּ֣עַל way·ya·‘al And went up GRAM DICO

–

יְהוּדָ֔ה yə·hū·ḏāh, Judah GRAM DICO

וַיִּתֵּ֧ן way·yit·tên and delivered GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֛ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

הַכְּנַעֲנִ֥י hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî the Canaanite GRAM DICO

וְהַפְּרִזִּ֖י wə·hap·pə·riz·zî and the Perizzite GRAM DICO

בְּיָדָ֑ם bə·yā·ḏām; into their hand GRAM DICO

､

וַיַּכּ֣וּם way·yak·kūm and they killed GRAM DICO

בְּבֶ֔זֶק bə·ḇe·zeq, at Bezek GRAM DICO

עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת ‘ă·śe·reṯ ten GRAM DICO

אֲלָפִ֖ים ’ă·lā·p̄îm thousand GRAM DICO

אִֽישׁ׃ ’îš. men GRAM DICO

Juges 1, 5

וַֽ֠יִּמְצְאוּ way·yim·ṣə·’ū And they found GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

אֲדֹנִ֥י ’ă·ḏō·nî -

בֶ֙זֶק֙ ḇe·zeq Adoni-bezek GRAM DICO

בְּבֶ֔זֶק bə·ḇe·zeq, in Bezek GRAM DICO

–

וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ way·yil·lā·ḥă·mū and fought GRAM DICO

בּ֑וֹ bōw; against him GRAM

וַיַּכּ֕וּ way·yak·kū and they defeated GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî the Canaanite GRAM DICO

וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO

הַפְּרִזִּֽי׃ hap·pə·riz·zî. the Perizzites GRAM DICO

Juges 1, 6

וַיָּ֙נָס֙ way·yā·nās And fled GRAM DICO

–

אֲדֹ֣נִי ’ă·ḏō·nî Adoni-bezek GRAM

בֶ֔זֶק ḇe·zeq, and they pursued GRAM DICO

וַֽיִּרְדְּפ֖וּ way·yir·də·p̄ū and him GRAM DICO

אַחֲרָ֑יו ’a·ḥă·rāw; and caught GRAM DICO

וַיֹּאחֲז֣וּ way·yō·ḥă·zū and him GRAM DICO

אֹת֔וֹ ’ō·ṯōw, and cut off GRAM DICO

וַֽיְקַצְּצ֔וּ way·qaṣ·ṣə·ṣū, and GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

בְּהֹנ֥וֹת bə·hō·nō·wṯ his thumbs GRAM DICO

יָדָ֖יו yā·ḏāw - GRAM DICO

וְרַגְלָֽיו׃ wə·raḡ·lāw. and big toes GRAM DICO

Juges 1, 7

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO

אֲדֹֽנִי־ ’ă·ḏō·nî- -

בֶ֗זֶק ḇe·zeq, Adoni-bezek GRAM DICO

שִׁבְעִ֣ים ׀ šiḇ·‘îm Seventy GRAM DICO

מְלָכִ֡ים mə·lā·ḵîm kings GRAM DICO

､

בְּֽהֹנוֹת֩ bə·hō·nō·wṯ with their thumbs GRAM DICO

יְדֵיהֶ֨ם yə·ḏê·hem with their thumbs GRAM DICO

וְרַגְלֵיהֶ֜ם wə·raḡ·lê·hem and big toes GRAM DICO

מְקֻצָּצִ֗ים mə·quṣ·ṣā·ṣîm, cut off GRAM DICO

､

הָי֤וּ hā·yū become GRAM DICO

מְלַקְּטִים֙ mə·laq·qə·ṭîm used to gather [scraps] GRAM DICO

תַּ֣חַת ta·ḥaṯ under GRAM DICO

שֻׁלְחָנִ֔י šul·ḥā·nî, my table GRAM DICO

–

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר ka·’ă·šer as GRAM DICO

עָשִׂ֔יתִי ‘ā·śî·ṯî, I have done GRAM DICO

､

כֵּ֥ן kên so GRAM DICO

שִׁלַּם־ šil·lam- has repaid GRAM DICO

לִ֖י lî me GRAM

אֱלֹהִ֑ים ’ĕ·lō·hîm; God GRAM DICO

וַיְבִיאֻ֥הוּ way·ḇî·’u·hū and they brought him GRAM DICO

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם yə·rū·šā·lim to Jerusalem GRAM DICO

､

וַיָּ֥מָת way·yā·māṯ and he died GRAM DICO

שָֽׁם׃ šām. there GRAM DICO

וַיִּלְכְּד֣וּ way·yil·kə·ḏū and took GRAM DICO

אוֹתָ֔הּ ’ō·w·ṯāh, it GRAM DICO

וַיַּכּ֖וּהָ way·yak·kū·hā and they struck it GRAM DICO

לְפִי־ lə·p̄î- with the edge GRAM DICO

חָ֑רֶב ḥā·reḇ; of the sword GRAM DICO

､

וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO

הָעִ֖יר hā·‘îr the city GRAM DICO

שִׁלְּח֥וּ šil·lə·ḥū set GRAM DICO

בָאֵֽשׁ׃ ḇā·’êš. on fire GRAM DICO
