וַיָּבֹ֥א way·yā·ḇō And came GRAM DICO
חֲמ֛וֹר ḥă·mō·wr Hamor GRAM DICO
וּשְׁכֶ֥ם ū·šə·ḵem and Shechem GRAM DICO
בְּנ֖וֹ bə·nōw his son GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
שַׁ֣עַר ša·‘ar the gate GRAM DICO
עִירָ֑ם ‘î·rām; of their city GRAM DICO
､
וַֽיְדַבְּר֛וּ way·ḏab·bə·rū and spoke GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- with GRAM DICO
אַנְשֵׁ֥י ’an·šê the men GRAM DICO
עִירָ֖ם ‘î·rām of their city GRAM DICO
､
לֵאמֹֽר׃ lê·mōr. saying GRAM DICO

הָאֲנָשִׁ֨ים hā·’ă·nā·šîm men GRAM DICO
הָאֵ֜לֶּה hā·’êl·leh these GRAM DICO
שְֽׁלֵמִ֧ים šə·lê·mîm at peace GRAM DICO
הֵ֣ם hêm are GRAM DICO
אִתָּ֗נוּ ’it·tā·nū, with us GRAM DICO
–
וְיֵשְׁב֤וּ wə·yê·šə·ḇū therefore let them dwell GRAM DICO
בָאָ֙רֶץ֙ ḇā·’ā·reṣ in the land GRAM DICO
､
וְיִסְחֲר֣וּ wə·yis·ḥă·rū and trade GRAM DICO
אֹתָ֔הּ ’ō·ṯāh, in it GRAM DICO
–
וְהָאָ֛רֶץ wə·hā·’ā·reṣ for the land [is] GRAM DICO
､
הִנֵּ֥ה hin·nêh indeed GRAM DICO
､
רַֽחֲבַת־ ra·ḥă·ḇaṯ- large GRAM DICO
יָדַ֖יִם yā·ḏa·yim enough GRAM DICO
.
לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם lip̄·nê·hem; For them GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
בְּנֹתָם֙ bə·nō·ṯām their daughters GRAM DICO
נִקַּֽח־ niq·qaḥ- let us take GRAM DICO
לָ֣נוּ lā·nū to us GRAM
לְנָשִׁ֔ים lə·nā·šîm, as wives GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
בְּנֹתֵ֖ינוּ bə·nō·ṯê·nū our daughters GRAM DICO

נִתֵּ֥ן nit·tên let us give GRAM DICO

הָאֲנָשִׁים֙ hā·’ă·nā·šîm the men GRAM DICO
לָשֶׁ֣בֶת lā·še·ḇeṯ to dwell GRAM DICO
אִתָּ֔נוּ ’it·tā·nū, with us GRAM DICO
לִהְי֖וֹת lih·yō·wṯ to be GRAM DICO
לְעַ֣ם lə·‘am people GRAM DICO
אֶחָ֑ד ’e·ḥāḏ; one GRAM DICO
–
בְּהִמּ֥וֹל bə·him·mō·wl if is circumcised GRAM DICO
לָ֙נוּ֙ lā·nū among us GRAM
כָּל־ kāl- every GRAM DICO
זָכָ֔ר zā·ḵār, male GRAM DICO
､
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר ka·’ă·šer as GRAM DICO
הֵ֥ם hêm they GRAM DICO
נִמֹּלִֽים׃ nim·mō·lîm. [are] circumcised GRAM DICO

מִקְנֵהֶ֤ם miq·nê·hem Their livestock GRAM DICO
וְקִנְיָנָם֙ wə·qin·yā·nām and their property GRAM DICO
וְכָל־ wə·ḵāl and every GRAM DICO
בְּהֶמְתָּ֔ם bə·hem·tām, animal of theirs GRAM DICO
הֲל֥וֹא hă·lō·w will not GRAM DICO
לָ֖נוּ lā·nū ours GRAM
הֵ֑ם hêm; they [be] GRAM DICO
؟
אַ֚ךְ ’aḵ only GRAM DICO
נֵא֣וֹתָה nê·’ō·w·ṯāh let us consent GRAM DICO
לָהֶ֔ם lā·hem, to them GRAM

יַ֠עֲקֹב ya·‘ă·qōḇ of Jacob GRAM DICO

שִׁמְע֨וֹן šim·‘ō·wn Simeon GRAM DICO
וְלֵוִ֜י wə·lê·wî and Levi GRAM DICO
､
אֲחֵ֤י ’ă·ḥê brothers GRAM DICO
דִינָה֙ ḏî·nāh of Dinah GRAM DICO
､
אִ֣ישׁ ’îš each GRAM DICO
חַרְבּ֔וֹ ḥar·bōw, his sword GRAM DICO
､
וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ way·yā·ḇō·’ū and came GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- upon GRAM DICO
הָעִ֖יר hā·‘îr the city GRAM DICO
בֶּ֑טַח be·ṭaḥ; boldly GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּֽהַרְג֖וּ way·ya·har·ḡū and killed GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO
זָכָֽר׃ zā·ḵār. the males GRAM DICO

וַיִּקְח֧וּ way·yiq·ḥū and took GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
דִּינָ֛ה dî·nāh Dinah GRAM DICO
מִבֵּ֥ית mib·bêṯ from the house GRAM DICO
､
שְׁכֶ֖ם šə·ḵem of Shechem GRAM DICO
וַיֵּצֵֽאוּ׃ way·yê·ṣê·’ū. and went out GRAM DICO
