וַיַּ֥עַל way·ya·‘al And went GRAM DICO
מֶֽלֶךְ־ me·leḵ- the king GRAM DICO
אַשּׁ֖וּר ’aš·šūr of Assyria GRAM DICO
בְּכָל־ bə·ḵāl throughout all GRAM DICO
הָאָ֑רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ; the land GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּ֙עַל֙ way·ya·‘al and went up GRAM DICO
שֹׁמְר֔וֹן šō·mə·rō·wn, to Samaria GRAM DICO
､
וַיָּ֥צַר way·yā·ṣar and besieged GRAM DICO
עָלֶ֖יהָ ‘ā·le·hā it GRAM DICO
שָׁלֹ֥שׁ šā·lōš three GRAM DICO
שָׁנִֽים׃ šā·nîm. for years GRAM DICO

שֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן šō·mə·rō·wn, Samaria GRAM DICO
､
וַיֶּ֥גֶל way·ye·ḡel and carried away GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל yiś·rā·’êl Israel GRAM DICO
אַשּׁ֑וּרָה ’aš·šū·rāh; to Assyria GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֨שֶׁב way·yō·šeḇ and placed GRAM DICO
אֹתָ֜ם ’ō·ṯām them GRAM DICO
בַּחְלַ֧ח baḥ·laḥ in Halah GRAM DICO
וּבְחָב֛וֹר ū·ḇə·ḥā·ḇō·wr and by the Habor GRAM DICO
נְהַ֥ר nə·har the River GRAM DICO
גּוֹזָ֖ן gō·w·zān of Gozan GRAM DICO
､
וְעָרֵ֥י wə·‘ā·rê and in the cities GRAM DICO
מָדָֽי׃ mā·ḏāy. of the Medes GRAM DICO

חָטְא֤וּ ḥā·ṭə·’ū had sinned GRAM DICO
בְנֵֽי־ ḇə·nê- the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ yiś·rā·’êl of Israel GRAM DICO
לַיהוָ֣ה Yah·weh against Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem, their God GRAM DICO
､
הַמַּעֲלֶ֤ה ham·ma·‘ă·leh who had brought up GRAM DICO
אֹתָם֙ ’ō·ṯām them GRAM DICO
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ mê·’e·reṣ out of the land GRAM DICO
מִצְרַ֔יִם miṣ·ra·yim, of Egypt GRAM DICO
､
מִתַּ֕חַת mit·ta·ḥaṯ from under GRAM DICO
יַ֖ד yaḏ the hand GRAM DICO
פַּרְעֹ֣ה par·‘ōh of Pharaoh GRAM DICO
מֶֽלֶךְ־ me·leḵ- king GRAM DICO
מִצְרָ֑יִם miṣ·rā·yim; of Egypt GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּֽירְא֖וּ way·yî·rə·’ū and they had feared GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהִ֥ים ’ĕ·lō·hîm gods GRAM DICO
､
אֲחֵרִֽים׃ ’ă·ḥê·rîm. other GRAM DICO

וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ way·yê·lə·ḵū And had walked GRAM DICO
בְּחֻקּ֣וֹת bə·ḥuq·qō·wṯ in the statutes GRAM DICO
הַגּוֹיִ֔ם hag·gō·w·yim, of the nations GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁר֙ ’ă·šer whom GRAM DICO
הוֹרִ֣ישׁ hō·w·rîš had cast out GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, Yahweh GRAM DICO
מִפְּנֵ֖י mip·pə·nê from before GRAM DICO
בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל yiś·rā·’êl; of Israel GRAM DICO
､
וּמַלְכֵ֥י ū·mal·ḵê and of the kings GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל yiś·rā·’êl of Israel GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer which GRAM DICO
עָשֽׂוּ׃ ‘ā·śū. they had made GRAM DICO

וַיְחַפְּא֣וּ way·ḥap·pə·’ū And secretly did GRAM DICO
בְנֵֽי־ ḇə·nê- the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO
דְּבָרִים֙ də·ḇā·rîm things GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֣ר ’ă·šer that [were] GRAM DICO
לֹא־ lō- not GRAM DICO
כֵ֔ן ḵên, right GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- against GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem; their God GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּבְנ֨וּ way·yiḇ·nū and they built GRAM DICO
לָהֶ֤ם lā·hem for themselves GRAM
בָּמוֹת֙ bā·mō·wṯ high places GRAM DICO
בְּכָל־ bə·ḵāl in all GRAM DICO
עָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם ‘ā·rê·hem, their cities GRAM DICO
､
מִמִּגְדַּ֥ל mim·miḡ·dal from GRAM DICO
נוֹצְרִ֖ים nō·wṣ·rîm watchtower GRAM DICO
עַד־ ‘aḏ- to GRAM DICO
עִ֥יר ‘îr city GRAM DICO
מִבְצָֽר׃ miḇ·ṣār. fortified GRAM DICO

וַיַּצִּ֧בוּ way·yaṣ·ṣi·ḇū And they set up GRAM DICO
לָהֶ֛ם lā·hem for themselves GRAM
מַצֵּב֖וֹת maṣ·ṣê·ḇō·wṯ [sacred] pillars GRAM DICO
וַאֲשֵׁרִ֑ים wa·’ă·šê·rîm; and wooden images GRAM DICO
עַ֚ל ‘al on GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- every GRAM DICO
גִּבְעָ֣ה giḇ·‘āh hill GRAM DICO
､
גְבֹהָ֔ה ḡə·ḇō·hāh, high GRAM DICO
וְתַ֖חַת wə·ṯa·ḥaṯ and under GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- every GRAM DICO
עֵ֥ץ ‘êṣ tree GRAM DICO
､
רַעֲנָֽן׃ ra·‘ă·nān. green GRAM DICO

וַיְקַטְּרוּ־ way·qaṭ·ṭə·rū- And they burned incense GRAM DICO
שָׁם֙ šām there GRAM DICO
בְּכָל־ bə·ḵāl on all GRAM DICO
בָּמ֔וֹת bā·mō·wṯ, the high places GRAM DICO
､
כַּגּוֹיִ֕ם kag·gō·w·yim like the nations GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- whom GRAM DICO
הֶגְלָ֥ה heḡ·lāh had carried away GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם mip·pə·nê·hem; before them GRAM DICO
וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֙ way·ya·‘ă·śū and they did GRAM DICO
דְּבָרִ֣ים də·ḇā·rîm things GRAM DICO
רָעִ֔ים rā·‘îm, wicked GRAM DICO
לְהַכְעִ֖יס lə·haḵ·‘îs to provoke to anger GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. Yahweh GRAM DICO

וַיַּֽעַבְד֖וּ way·ya·‘aḇ·ḏū For they served GRAM DICO
הַגִּלֻּלִ֑ים hag·gil·lu·lîm; idols GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֨ר ’ă·šer of which GRAM DICO
אָמַ֤ר ’ā·mar had said GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
לָהֶ֔ם lā·hem, to them GRAM
לֹ֥א lō not GRAM DICO
תַעֲשׂ֖וּ ṯa·‘ă·śū You shall do GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַדָּבָ֥ר had·dā·ḇār thing GRAM DICO
הַזֶּֽה׃ haz·zeh. this GRAM DICO
