וַיִּשְׁלַ֧ח way·yiš·laḥ And he sent GRAM DICO
מַלְאָכִ֛ים mal·’ā·ḵîm messengers GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
אֲבִימֶ֖לֶךְ ’ă·ḇî·me·leḵ Abimelech GRAM DICO
בְּתָרְמָ֣ה bə·ṯā·rə·māh secretly GRAM DICO
､
לֵאמֹ֑ר lê·mōr; saying GRAM DICO
､
הִנֵּה֩ hin·nêh take note GRAM DICO
､
גַ֨עַל ḡa·‘al Gaal GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
עֶ֤בֶד ‘e·ḇeḏ of Ebed GRAM DICO
וְאֶחָיו֙ wə·’e·ḥāw and his brothers GRAM DICO
בָּאִ֣ים bā·’îm have come GRAM DICO
שְׁכֶ֔מָה šə·ḵe·māh, to Shechem GRAM DICO
–
וְהִנָּ֛ם wə·hin·nām and here GRAM DICO
､
צָרִ֥ים ṣā·rîm they are fortifying GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הָעִ֖יר hā·‘îr the city GRAM DICO
עָלֶֽיךָ׃ ‘ā·le·ḵā. against you GRAM DICO

וְעַתָּה֙ wə·‘at·tāh Therefore now GRAM DICO
ק֣וּם qūm get up GRAM DICO
לַ֔יְלָה lay·lāh, by night GRAM DICO
､
אַתָּ֖ה ’at·tāh you GRAM DICO
וְהָעָ֣ם wə·hā·‘ām and the people GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- who [are] GRAM DICO
אִתָּ֑ךְ ’it·tāḵ; with you GRAM DICO
וֶאֱרֹ֖ב we·’ĕ·rōḇ and lie in wait GRAM DICO
בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ baś·śā·ḏeh. in the field GRAM DICO

וְהָיָ֤ה wə·hā·yāh And it shall be GRAM DICO
､
בַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ ḇab·bō·qer in the morning GRAM DICO
､
כִּזְרֹ֣חַ kiz·rō·aḥ as soon as is up GRAM DICO
､
הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ haš·še·meš, the sun GRAM DICO
תַּשְׁכִּ֖ים taš·kîm [that] you shall rise early GRAM DICO
､
וּפָשַׁטְתָּ֣ ū·p̄ā·šaṭ·tā and rush GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- upon GRAM DICO
הָעִ֑יר hā·‘îr; the city GRAM DICO
–
וְהִנֵּה־ wə·hin·nêh- and [when] GRAM DICO
､
ה֞וּא hū he GRAM DICO
וְהָעָ֤ם wə·hā·‘ām and the people GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- who are GRAM DICO
אִתּוֹ֙ ’it·tōw with him GRAM DICO
יֹצְאִ֣ים yō·ṣə·’îm come out GRAM DICO
אֵלֶ֔יךָ ’ê·le·ḵā, against you GRAM DICO
וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā then you may do GRAM DICO
לּ֔וֹ lōw, to them GRAM
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר ka·’ă·šer as GRAM DICO
תִּמְצָ֥א tim·ṣā you find GRAM DICO
יָדֶֽךָ׃ yā·ḏe·ḵā. opportunity GRAM DICO

הָעָ֥ם hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- who [were] GRAM DICO
עִמּ֖וֹ ‘im·mōw with him GRAM DICO
לָ֑יְלָה lā·yə·lāh; by night GRAM DICO
､
וַיֶּאֶרְב֣וּ way·ye·’er·ḇū and lay in wait GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- against GRAM DICO
שְׁכֶ֔ם šə·ḵem, Shechem GRAM DICO
אַרְבָּעָ֖ה ’ar·bā·‘āh four GRAM DICO
רָאשִֽׁים׃ rā·šîm. in companies GRAM DICO

וַיֵּצֵא֙ way·yê·ṣê And when went out GRAM DICO
､
גַּ֣עַל ga·‘al Gaal GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
עֶ֔בֶד ‘e·ḇeḏ, of Ebed GRAM DICO
וַיַּעֲמֹ֕ד way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ and stood GRAM DICO
פֶּ֖תַח pe·ṯaḥ in the entrance to GRAM DICO
שַׁ֣עַר ša·‘ar gate GRAM DICO
הָעִ֑יר hā·‘îr; the city GRAM DICO
–
וַיָּ֧קָם way·yā·qām and rose GRAM DICO
､
אֲבִימֶ֛לֶךְ ’ă·ḇî·me·leḵ Abimelech GRAM DICO
וְהָעָ֥ם wə·hā·‘ām and the people GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- who [were] GRAM DICO
אִתּ֖וֹ ’it·tōw with him GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הַמַּאְרָֽב׃ ham·ma’·rāḇ. lying in wait GRAM DICO

וַיַּרְא־ way·yar- And when saw GRAM DICO
גַּעַל֮ ga·‘al Gaal GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הָעָם֒ hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer and he said GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
זְבֻ֔ל zə·ḇul, Zebul GRAM DICO
､
הִנֵּה־ hin·nêh- Look GRAM DICO
､
עָ֣ם ‘ām people GRAM DICO
יוֹרֵ֔ד yō·w·rêḏ, are coming down GRAM DICO
מֵרָאשֵׁ֖י mê·rā·šê from the tops GRAM DICO
הֶהָרִ֑ים he·hā·rîm; of the mountains GRAM DICO
.
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer But said GRAM DICO
אֵלָיו֙ ’ê·lāw to him GRAM DICO
זְבֻ֔ל zə·ḇul, Zebul GRAM DICO
אֵ֣ת ’êṯ  -  GRAM DICO
צֵ֧ל ṣêl the shadows GRAM DICO
הֶהָרִ֛ים he·hā·rîm of the mountains GRAM DICO
אַתָּ֥ה ’at·tāh You GRAM DICO
רֹאֶ֖ה rō·’eh see GRAM DICO
כָּאֲנָשִֽׁים׃ kā·’ă·nā·šîm. as [if they were] men GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֨סֶף way·yō·sep̄ So again GRAM DICO
ע֣וֹד ‘ō·wḏ again GRAM DICO
גַּעַל֮ ga·‘al Gaal GRAM DICO
לְדַבֵּר֒ lə·ḏab·bêr spoke GRAM DICO
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
הִנֵּה־ hin·nêh- See GRAM DICO
עָם֙ ‘ām people GRAM DICO
יֽוֹרְדִ֔ים yō·wr·ḏîm, are coming down GRAM DICO
מֵעִ֖ם mê·‘im from GRAM DICO
טַבּ֣וּר ṭab·būr the center GRAM DICO
הָאָ֑רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ; of the land GRAM DICO
､
וְרֹאשׁ־ wə·rōš- and company GRAM DICO
אֶחָ֣ד ’e·ḥāḏ one GRAM DICO
בָּ֔א bā, is coming GRAM DICO
מִדֶּ֖רֶךְ mid·de·reḵ from GRAM DICO
אֵל֥וֹן ’ê·lō·wn the Terebinth Tree GRAM DICO
מְעוֹנְנִֽים׃ mə·‘ō·wn·nîm. Diviners' GRAM DICO
