גָּד֣וֹל gā·ḏō·wl Greater GRAM DICO
יִֽהְיֶ֡ה yih·yeh shall be GRAM DICO
כְּבוֹד֩ kə·ḇō·wḏ the glory GRAM DICO
הַבַּ֨יִת hab·ba·yiṯ of temple GRAM DICO
הַזֶּ֤ה haz·zeh this GRAM DICO
הָאַֽחֲרוֹן֙ hā·’a·ḥă·rō·wn latter GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- than GRAM DICO
הָ֣רִאשׁ֔וֹן hā·ri·šō·wn, the former GRAM DICO
､
אָמַ֖ר ’ā·mar says GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֣ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
צְבָא֑וֹת ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ; of hosts GRAM DICO
､
וּבַמָּק֤וֹם ū·ḇam·mā·qō·wm and in place GRAM DICO
הַזֶּה֙ haz·zeh this GRAM DICO
אֶתֵּ֣ן ’et·tên I will give GRAM DICO
שָׁל֔וֹם šā·lō·wm, peace GRAM DICO

לַתְּשִׁיעִ֔י lat·tə·šî·‘î, of the ninth [month] GRAM DICO
בִּשְׁנַ֥ת biš·naṯ in the year GRAM DICO
שְׁתַּ֖יִם šə·ta·yim second GRAM DICO
לְדָרְיָ֑וֶשׁ lə·ḏā·rə·yā·weš; of Darius GRAM DICO

הָיָה֙ hā·yāh came GRAM DICO
דְּבַר־ də·ḇar- the word of GRAM DICO

שְׁאַל־ šə·’al- ask GRAM DICO
נָ֧א nā now GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים hak·kō·hă·nîm the priests GRAM DICO
תּוֹרָ֖ה tō·w·rāh [concerning the] law GRAM DICO

לֵאמֹֽר׃ lê·mōr. saying GRAM DICO

הֵ֣ן ׀ hên if GRAM DICO
יִשָּׂא־ yiś·śā- carries GRAM DICO
אִ֨ישׁ ’îš one GRAM DICO
בְּשַׂר־ bə·śar- meat GRAM DICO
קֹ֜דֶשׁ qō·ḏeš holy GRAM DICO
בִּכְנַ֣ף biḵ·nap̄ in the fold GRAM DICO
בִּגְד֗וֹ biḡ·ḏōw, of his garment GRAM DICO
､
וְנָגַ֣ע wə·nā·ḡa‘ and he touches GRAM DICO
בִּ֠כְנָפוֹ biḵ·nā·p̄ōw with the edge GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
הַלֶּ֨חֶם hal·le·ḥem bread GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶל־ wə·’el- or GRAM DICO
הַנָּזִ֜יד han·nā·zîḏ stew GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶל־ wə·’el- and GRAM DICO
הַיַּ֧יִן hay·ya·yin wine GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶל־ wə·’el- or GRAM DICO
שֶׁ֛מֶן še·men oil GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶל־ wə·’el- or GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- any GRAM DICO
מַאֲכָ֖ל ma·’ă·ḵāl food GRAM DICO
､
הֲיִקְדָּ֑שׁ hă·yiq·dāš; will it become holy GRAM DICO
؟
וַיַּעֲנ֧וּ way·ya·‘ă·nū and answered GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים hak·kō·hă·nîm the priests GRAM DICO
וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ way·yō·mə·rū and said GRAM DICO
､
לֹֽא׃ lō. No GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO
חַגַּ֔י ḥag·gay, Haggai GRAM DICO
､
אִם־ ’im- if GRAM DICO
יִגַּ֧ע yig·ga‘ touches GRAM DICO
טְמֵא־ ṭə·mê- [one who is] unclean [because] GRAM DICO
נֶ֛פֶשׁ ne·p̄eš of a dead body GRAM DICO
בְּכָל־ bə·ḵāl any GRAM DICO
אֵ֖לֶּה ’êl·leh of these GRAM DICO
､
הֲיִטְמָ֑א hă·yiṭ·mā; will it be unclean GRAM DICO
؟
וַיַּעֲנ֧וּ way·ya·‘ă·nū so answered GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים hak·kō·hă·nîm the priests GRAM DICO
וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ way·yō·mə·rū and said GRAM DICO
､
יִטְמָֽא׃ yiṭ·mā. it shall be unclean GRAM DICO

וַיַּ֨עַן way·ya·‘an And answered GRAM DICO
חַגַּ֜י ḥag·gay Haggai GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר way·yō·mer, and said GRAM DICO
､
כֵּ֣ן kên so GRAM DICO
הָֽעָם־ hā·‘ām- people GRAM DICO
､
הַ֠זֶּה haz·zeh [is] this GRAM DICO
וְכֵן־ wə·ḵên- so GRAM DICO
הַגּ֨וֹי hag·gō·w nation GRAM DICO
הַזֶּ֤ה haz·zeh [is] this GRAM DICO
לְפָנַי֙ lə·p̄ā·nay before Me GRAM DICO
נְאֻם־ nə·’um- says GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, Yahweh GRAM DICO
–
וְכֵ֖ן wə·ḵên so GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- is every GRAM DICO
מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה ma·‘ă·śêh work GRAM DICO
יְדֵיהֶ֑ם yə·ḏê·hem; of their hands GRAM DICO
–
וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר wa·’ă·šer and what GRAM DICO
יַקְרִ֛יבוּ yaq·rî·ḇū they offer GRAM DICO
שָׁ֖ם šām there GRAM DICO
טָמֵ֥א ṭā·mê unclean GRAM DICO
הֽוּא׃ hū. is GRAM DICO

וְעַתָּה֙ wə·‘at·tāh Now GRAM DICO
､
שִֽׂימוּ־ śî·mū- consider GRAM DICO
נָ֣א nā carefully GRAM DICO
､
לְבַבְכֶ֔ם lə·ḇaḇ·ḵem, consider GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הַיּ֥וֹם hay·yō·wm day GRAM DICO
הַזֶּ֖ה haz·zeh this GRAM DICO
וָמָ֑עְלָה wā·mā·‘ə·lāh; and forward GRAM DICO
､
מִטֶּ֧רֶם miṭ·ṭe·rem from before GRAM DICO
שֽׂוּם־ śūm- was laid GRAM DICO
אֶ֛בֶן ’e·ḇen stone GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- upon GRAM DICO
אֶ֖בֶן ’e·ḇen stone GRAM DICO
בְּהֵיכַ֥ל bə·hê·ḵal in the temple of GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. Yahweh GRAM DICO
