II Chroniques 25, 9
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO
אֲמַצְיָ֙הוּ֙ ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū Amaziah GRAM DICO
לְאִ֣ישׁ lə·’îš to the man GRAM DICO
הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm, of God GRAM DICO
､
וּמַֽה־ ū·mah- but what GRAM DICO
לַּעֲשׂוֹת֙ la·‘ă·śō·wṯ [shall we] do GRAM DICO
לִמְאַ֣ת lim·’aṯ about hundred GRAM DICO
הַכִּכָּ֔ר hak·kik·kār, the talents GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer which GRAM DICO
נָתַ֖תִּי nā·ṯat·tî I have given GRAM DICO
לִגְד֣וּד liḡ·ḏūḏ to the troops of GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל yiś·rā·’êl; Israel GRAM DICO
؟
וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ way·yō·mer and answered GRAM DICO
､
אִ֣ישׁ ’îš the man GRAM DICO
הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm, of God GRAM DICO
יֵ֚שׁ yêš is able GRAM DICO
לַֽיהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, Yahweh GRAM DICO
לָ֥תֶת lā·ṯeṯ to give GRAM DICO
לְךָ֖ lə·ḵā you GRAM
הַרְבֵּ֥ה har·bêh much more GRAM DICO
מִזֶּֽה׃ miz·zeh. than this GRAM DICO

וַיַּבְדִּילֵ֣ם way·yaḇ·dî·lêm So discharged GRAM DICO
אֲמַצְיָ֗הוּ ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū, Amaziah GRAM DICO
לְהַגְּדוּד֙ lə·hag·gə·ḏūḏ the troops GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- that GRAM DICO
בָּ֤א bā had come GRAM DICO
אֵלָיו֙ ’ê·lāw to him GRAM DICO
מֵֽאֶפְרַ֔יִם mê·’ep̄·ra·yim, from Ephraim GRAM DICO
לָלֶ֖כֶת lā·le·ḵeṯ to go back GRAM DICO
לִמְקוֹמָ֑ם lim·qō·w·mām; home GRAM DICO
וַיִּ֨חַר way·yi·ḥar therefore was aroused GRAM DICO
אַפָּ֤ם ’ap·pām their anger GRAM DICO
מְאֹד֙ mə·’ōḏ greatly GRAM DICO
בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה bî·hū·ḏāh, against Judah GRAM DICO
､
וַיָּשׁ֥וּבוּ way·yā·šū·ḇū and they returned GRAM DICO
לִמְקוֹמָ֖ם lim·qō·w·mām home GRAM DICO
בָּחֳרִי־ bā·ḥo·rî- in great GRAM DICO
אָֽף׃ ’āp̄. anger GRAM DICO

וַאֲמַצְיָ֙הוּ֙ wa·’ă·maṣ·yā·hū And Amaziah GRAM DICO
הִתְחַזַּ֔ק hiṯ·ḥaz·zaq, strengthened himself GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּנְהַג֙ way·yin·haḡ and leading GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
עַמּ֔וֹ ‘am·mōw, his people GRAM DICO
､
וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ way·yê·leḵ and he went GRAM DICO
גֵּ֣יא gê to the Valley of Salt GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֑לַח ham·me·laḥ; of salt GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּ֥ךְ way·yaḵ and killed GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ- for GRAM DICO
בְּנֵי־ bə·nê- of the sons GRAM DICO
שֵׂעִ֖יר śê·‘îr of Seir GRAM DICO
עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת ‘ă·śe·reṯ ten GRAM DICO
אֲלָפִֽים׃ ’ă·lā·p̄îm. thousand GRAM DICO

וַעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת wa·‘ă·śe·reṯ And ten GRAM DICO
אֲלָפִ֜ים ’ă·lā·p̄îm thousand GRAM DICO
חַיִּ֗ים ḥay·yîm, alive GRAM DICO
שָׁבוּ֙ šā·ḇū took captive GRAM DICO
､
בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֔ה yə·hū·ḏāh, of Judah GRAM DICO
וַיְבִיא֖וּם way·ḇî·’ūm and brought them GRAM DICO
לְרֹ֣אשׁ lə·rōš to the top GRAM DICO
הַסָּ֑לַע has·sā·la‘; of the rock GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּשְׁלִיכ֛וּם way·yaš·lî·ḵūm and cast them down GRAM DICO
מֵֽרֹאשׁ־ mê·rōš- from the top GRAM DICO
הַסֶּ֖לַע has·se·la‘ of the rock GRAM DICO
､
וְכֻלָּ֥ם wə·ḵul·lām so that they all GRAM DICO
נִבְקָֽעוּ׃ niḇ·qā·‘ū. were dashed in pieces GRAM DICO

וּבְנֵ֣י ū·ḇə·nê But as for the soldiers GRAM DICO
הַגְּד֗וּד hag·gə·ḏūḏ, of the army GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֨ר ’ă·šer which GRAM DICO
הֵשִׁ֤יב hê·šîḇ had discharged GRAM DICO
､
אֲמַצְיָ֙הוּ֙ ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū Amaziah GRAM DICO
מִלֶּ֤כֶת mil·le·ḵeṯ so that they would not go GRAM DICO
עִמּוֹ֙ ‘im·mōw with him GRAM DICO
לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה lam·mil·ḥā·māh, to battle GRAM DICO
､
וַֽיִּפְשְׁטוּ֙ way·yip̄·šə·ṭū and they raided GRAM DICO
בְּעָרֵ֣י bə·‘ā·rê the cities GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֔ה yə·hū·ḏāh, of Judah GRAM DICO
､
מִשֹּׁמְר֖וֹן miš·šō·mə·rō·wn from Samaria GRAM DICO
וְעַד־ wə·‘aḏ- and to GRAM DICO
בֵּ֣ית bêṯ in GRAM
חוֹר֑וֹן ḥō·w·rō·wn; Beth Horon GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּכּ֤וּ way·yak·kū and killed GRAM DICO
מֵהֶם֙ mê·hem in them GRAM DICO
שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת šə·lō·šeṯ three GRAM DICO
אֲלָפִ֔ים ’ă·lā·p̄îm, thousand GRAM DICO
וַיָּבֹ֖זּוּ way·yā·ḇōz·zū and took GRAM DICO
בִּזָּ֥ה biz·zāh spoil GRAM DICO
רַבָּֽה׃ rab·bāh. much GRAM DICO

אַחֲרֵ֨י ’a·ḥă·rê after GRAM DICO
ב֤וֹא ḇō·w came GRAM DICO
אֲמַצְיָ֙הוּ֙ ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū Amaziah GRAM DICO
מֵֽהַכּ֣וֹת mê·hak·kō·wṯ from the slaughter GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ- of GRAM DICO
אֲדוֹמִ֔ים ’ă·ḏō·w·mîm, the Edomites GRAM DICO
､
וַיָּבֵ֗א way·yā·ḇê, that he brought GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהֵי֙ ’ĕ·lō·hê the gods GRAM DICO
בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê of the sons GRAM DICO
שֵׂעִ֔יר śê·‘îr, of Seir GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּֽעֲמִידֵ֥ם way·ya·‘ă·mî·ḏêm and set them up [to be] GRAM DICO
ל֖וֹ lōw his GRAM
לֵאלֹהִ֑ים lê·lō·hîm; gods GRAM DICO
､
וְלִפְנֵיהֶ֥ם wə·lip̄·nê·hem and before them GRAM DICO
יִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖ה yiš·ta·ḥă·weh bowed down GRAM DICO
וְלָהֶ֥ם wə·lā·hem and to them GRAM
יְקַטֵּֽר׃ yə·qaṭ·ṭêr. burned incense GRAM DICO

וַיִּֽחַר־ way·yi·ḥar- Therefore was aroused GRAM DICO
אַ֥ף ’ap̄ the anger GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh of Yahweh GRAM DICO
בַּאֲמַצְיָ֑הוּ ba·’ă·maṣ·yā·hū; against Amaziah GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח way·yiš·laḥ and He sent GRAM DICO
אֵלָיו֙ ’ê·lāw him GRAM DICO
נָבִ֔יא nā·ḇî, a prophet GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer and who said GRAM DICO
ל֗וֹ lōw, to him GRAM
לָ֤מָּה lām·māh why GRAM DICO
דָרַ֙שְׁתָּ֙ ḏā·raš·tā have you sought GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהֵ֣י ’ĕ·lō·hê the gods GRAM DICO
הָעָ֔ם hā·‘ām, of the people GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֛ר ’ă·šer which GRAM DICO
לֹא־ lō- not GRAM DICO
הִצִּ֥ילוּ hiṣ·ṣî·lū could rescue GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
עַמָּ֖ם ‘am·mām their own people GRAM DICO
מִיָּדֶֽךָ׃ mî·yā·ḏe·ḵā. from your hand GRAM DICO
