יְהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, Yahweh GRAM DICO

לְמַ֜עַן lə·ma·‘an that GRAM DICO
הָקִ֣ים hā·qîm He might fulfill GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
דְּבָר֗וֹ də·ḇā·rōw, His word GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֨ר ’ă·šer which GRAM DICO
דִּבֶּ֤ר dib·ber had spoken GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
בְּיַד֙ bə·yaḏ by GRAM DICO
אֲחִיָּ֣ה ’ă·ḥî·yāh Ahijah GRAM DICO
הַשִּׁילֹנִ֔י haš·šî·lō·nî, the Shilonite GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
יָרָבְעָ֖ם yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām Jeroboam GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
נְבָֽט׃ nə·ḇāṭ. of Nebat GRAM DICO

וַיַּ֣רְא way·yar And when saw GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל yiś·rā·’êl, Israel GRAM DICO

לֹֽא־ lō- not GRAM DICO

הַמֶּלֶךְ֮ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO
אֲלֵיהֶם֒ ’ă·lê·hem to them GRAM DICO
וַיָּשִׁ֣בוּ way·yā·ši·ḇū and answered GRAM DICO
הָעָ֣ם hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO

דָּבָ֣ר ׀ dā·ḇār answered GRAM DICO
לֵאמֹ֡ר lê·mōr saying GRAM DICO
､
מַה־ mah- what have GRAM DICO
לָּנוּ֩ lā·nū we GRAM
חֵ֨לֶק ḥê·leq portion GRAM DICO
בְּדָוִ֜ד bə·ḏā·wiḏ in David GRAM DICO
؟
וְלֹֽא־ wə·lō- and no GRAM DICO
נַחֲלָ֣ה na·ḥă·lāh [We have] inheritance GRAM DICO
בְּבֶן־ bə·ḇen- in the son GRAM DICO
יִשַׁ֗י yi·šay, of Jesse GRAM DICO
–
לְאֹהָלֶ֙יךָ֙ lə·’ō·hā·le·ḵā to your tents GRAM DICO
､
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, Israel GRAM DICO

עַתָּ֕ה ‘at·tāh now GRAM DICO
רְאֵ֥ה rə·’êh see GRAM DICO
בֵיתְךָ֖ ḇê·ṯə·ḵā to your own house GRAM DICO
､
דָּוִ֑ד dā·wiḏ; David GRAM DICO

וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ way·yê·leḵ So departed GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל yiś·rā·’êl Israel GRAM DICO
לְאֹהָלָֽיו׃ lə·’ō·hā·lāw. to their tents GRAM DICO

וּבְנֵ֣י ū·ḇə·nê But the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO
הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים hay·yō·šə·ḇîm who dwelt GRAM DICO
בְּעָרֵ֣י bə·‘ā·rê in the cities GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֑ה yə·hū·ḏāh; of Judah GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ way·yim·lōḵ and reigned GRAM DICO
עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם ‘ă·lê·hem over GRAM DICO
רְחַבְעָֽם׃ rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām. Rehoboam GRAM DICO

וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח way·yiš·laḥ And sent GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ King GRAM DICO
רְחַבְעָ֗ם rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām, Rehoboam GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
אֲדֹרָם֙ ’ă·ḏō·rām Adoram GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֣ר ’ă·šer who [was] GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- in charge GRAM DICO
הַמַּ֔ס ham·mas, of the revenue GRAM DICO
–
וַיִּרְגְּמ֨וּ way·yir·gə·mū but stoned GRAM DICO
כָל־ ḵāl all GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל yiś·rā·’êl Israel GRAM DICO
בּ֛וֹ bōw him GRAM
אֶ֖בֶן ’e·ḇen with stones GRAM DICO
､
וַיָּמֹ֑ת way·yā·mōṯ; and he died GRAM DICO

וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ wə·ham·me·leḵ Therefore King GRAM DICO
רְחַבְעָ֗ם rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām, Rehoboam GRAM DICO
הִתְאַמֵּץ֙ hiṯ·’am·mêṣ in haste GRAM DICO
לַעֲל֣וֹת la·‘ă·lō·wṯ mounted GRAM DICO
בַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֔ה bam·mer·kā·ḇāh, his chariot GRAM DICO
､
לָנ֖וּס lā·nūs to flee GRAM DICO
יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ yə·rū·šā·lim. to Jerusalem GRAM DICO

וַיִּפְשְׁע֤וּ way·yip̄·šə·‘ū So has been in rebellion GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ yiś·rā·’êl Israel GRAM DICO
בְּבֵ֣ית bə·ḇêṯ against the house GRAM DICO
דָּוִ֔ד dā·wiḏ, of David GRAM DICO
עַ֖ד ‘aḏ to GRAM DICO
הַיּ֥וֹם hay·yō·wm day GRAM DICO
הַזֶּֽה׃ haz·zeh. this GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ yiś·rā·’êl Israel GRAM DICO
כִּֽי־ kî- that GRAM DICO
שָׁ֣ב šāḇ had come back GRAM DICO

יָרָבְעָ֔ם yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām, Jeroboam GRAM DICO
וַֽיִּשְׁלְח֗וּ way·yiš·lə·ḥū, and they sent for him GRAM DICO
וַיִּקְרְא֤וּ way·yiq·rə·’ū and called GRAM DICO
אֹתוֹ֙ ’ō·ṯōw him GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה hā·‘ê·ḏāh, the congregation GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּמְלִ֥יכוּ way·yam·lî·ḵū and made king GRAM DICO
אֹת֖וֹ ’ō·ṯōw him GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- over GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל yiś·rā·’êl; Israel GRAM DICO

לֹ֤א lō None GRAM DICO
הָיָה֙ hā·yāh there was GRAM DICO
אַחֲרֵ֣י ’a·ḥă·rê who followed GRAM DICO
בֵית־ ḇêṯ- the house GRAM DICO
דָּוִ֔ד dā·wiḏ, of David GRAM DICO
､
זוּלָתִ֥י zū·lā·ṯî but GRAM DICO
שֵֽׁבֶט־ šê·ḇeṭ- the tribe GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֖ה yə·hū·ḏāh of Judah GRAM DICO
לְבַדּֽוֹ׃ lə·ḇad·dōw. only GRAM DICO
