וַיֵּֽאָסֵ֞ף way·yê·’ā·sêp̄ So were gathered GRAM DICO

בְּכָל־ bə·ḵāl through all GRAM DICO
שִׁבְטֵ֥י šiḇ·ṭê the tribe GRAM DICO
בִנְיָמִ֖ן ḇin·yā·min of Benjamin GRAM DICO

לֵאמֹ֑ר lê·mōr; saying GRAM DICO
､
מָ֚ה māh what [is] GRAM DICO
הָרָעָ֣ה hā·rā·‘āh wickedness GRAM DICO
הַזֹּ֔את haz·zōṯ, this GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer that GRAM DICO
נִהְיְתָ֖ה nih·yə·ṯāh has occurred GRAM DICO
בָּכֶֽם׃ bā·ḵem. among you GRAM

וְעַתָּ֡ה wə·‘at·tāh Therefore now GRAM DICO
תְּנוּ֩ tə·nū deliver up GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הָאֲנָשִׁ֨ים hā·’ă·nā·šîm the men GRAM DICO
､
בְּנֵֽי־ bə·nê- the men GRAM DICO
בְלִיַּ֜עַל ḇə·lî·ya·‘al perverted GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֤ר ’ă·šer who [are] GRAM DICO
בַּגִּבְעָה֙ bag·giḇ·‘āh in Gibeah GRAM DICO
､
וּנְמִיתֵ֔ם ū·nə·mî·ṯêm, that we may put them to death GRAM DICO
､
וּנְבַעֲרָ֥ה ū·nə·ḇa·‘ă·rāh and remove GRAM DICO
רָעָ֖ה rā·‘āh the evil GRAM DICO
מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֑ל mî·yiś·rā·’êl; from Israel GRAM DICO

וְלֹ֤א wə·lō But not GRAM DICO
אָבוּ֙ ’ā·ḇū would make GRAM DICO
(בְּנֵ֣י‪‬) bə·nê the sons of GRAM DICO
בִּנְיָמִ֔ן bin·yā·min, Benjamin GRAM DICO
לִשְׁמֹ֕עַ liš·mō·a‘ listen GRAM DICO
בְּק֖וֹל bə·qō·wl to the voice GRAM DICO
אֲחֵיהֶ֥ם ’ă·ḥê·hem of their brothers GRAM DICO
בְּנֵֽי־ bə·nê- the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ yiś·rā·’êl. of Israel GRAM DICO

בְנֵֽי־ ḇə·nê- the sons GRAM DICO
בִנְיָמִ֛ן ḇin·yā·min of Benjamin GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הֶעָרִ֖ים he·‘ā·rîm their cities GRAM DICO
הַגִּבְעָ֑תָה hag·giḇ·‘ā·ṯāh; to Gibeah GRAM DICO
､
לָצֵ֥את lā·ṣêṯ to go GRAM DICO
לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה lam·mil·ḥā·māh to battle GRAM DICO
עִם־ ‘im- against GRAM DICO
בְּנֵ֥י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ yiś·rā·’êl. of Israel GRAM DICO

וַיִּתְפָּֽקְדוּ֩ way·yiṯ·pā·qə·ḏū And numbered GRAM DICO
בְנֵ֨י ḇə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
בִנְיָמִ֜ן ḇin·yā·min of Benjamin GRAM DICO
בַּיּ֤וֹם bay·yō·wm at time GRAM DICO
הַהוּא֙ ha·hū that GRAM DICO
מֵהֶ֣עָרִ֔ים mê·he·‘ā·rîm, from their cities GRAM DICO
עֶשְׂרִ֨ים ‘eś·rîm twenty GRAM DICO
וְשִׁשָּׁ֥ה wə·šiš·šāh and six GRAM DICO
אֶ֛לֶף ’e·lep̄ thousand GRAM DICO
אִ֖ישׁ ’îš men GRAM DICO
שֹׁ֣לֵֽף šō·lêp̄ who drew GRAM DICO
חָ֑רֶב ḥā·reḇ; the sword GRAM DICO
､
לְ֠בַד lə·ḇaḏ besides GRAM DICO
מִיֹּשְׁבֵ֤י mî·yō·šə·ḇê the inhabitants GRAM DICO
הַגִּבְעָה֙ hag·giḇ·‘āh of Gibeah GRAM DICO
､
הִתְפָּ֣קְד֔וּ hiṯ·pā·qə·ḏū, who numbered GRAM DICO
שְׁבַ֥ע šə·ḇa‘ seven GRAM DICO
מֵא֖וֹת mê·’ō·wṯ hundred GRAM DICO
אִ֥ישׁ ’îš men GRAM DICO
בָּחֽוּר׃ bā·ḥūr. select GRAM DICO

מִכֹּ֣ל ׀ mik·kōl Among [were] all GRAM DICO
הָעָ֣ם hā·‘ām people GRAM DICO
הַזֶּ֗ה haz·zeh, this GRAM DICO
שְׁבַ֤ע šə·ḇa‘ seven GRAM DICO
מֵאוֹת֙ mê·’ō·wṯ hundred GRAM DICO
אִ֣ישׁ ’îš men GRAM DICO
בָּח֔וּר bā·ḥūr, select GRAM DICO
אִטֵּ֖ר ’iṭ·ṭêr restricted GRAM DICO
יַד־ yaḏ- of hand GRAM DICO
יְמִינ֑וֹ yə·mî·nōw; right GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- every [one of] GRAM DICO
זֶ֗ה zeh, this [army] GRAM DICO
קֹלֵ֧עַ qō·lê·a‘ could sling GRAM DICO
בָּאֶ֛בֶן bā·’e·ḇen a stone GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- at GRAM DICO
הַֽשַּׂעֲרָ֖ה haś·śa·‘ă·rāh a hair's [breadth] GRAM DICO
וְלֹ֥א wə·lō and not GRAM DICO
יַחֲטִֽא׃ ya·ḥă·ṭi. miss GRAM DICO

אַרְבַּ֨ע ’ar·ba‘ four GRAM DICO
מֵא֥וֹת mê·’ō·wṯ hundred GRAM DICO
אֶ֛לֶף ’e·lep̄ thousand GRAM DICO
אִ֖ישׁ ’îš men GRAM DICO
שֹׁ֣לֵֽף šō·lêp̄ who drew GRAM DICO
חָ֑רֶב ḥā·reḇ; the sword GRAM DICO

זֶ֖ה zeh of this [army were] GRAM DICO

מִלְחָמָֽה׃ mil·ḥā·māh. of war GRAM DICO

וַיָּקֻ֜מוּ way·yā·qu·mū And arose GRAM DICO

וַיַּעֲל֣וּ way·ya·‘ă·lū and went up GRAM DICO
בֵֽית־ ḇêṯ- to GRAM
אֵל֮ ’êl Bethel GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּשְׁאֲל֣וּ way·yiš·’ă·lū and to inquire GRAM DICO
בֵאלֹהִים֒ ḇê·lō·hîm of God GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ way·yō·mə·rū and they said GRAM DICO
､
בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO
מִ֚י mî who GRAM DICO
יַעֲלֶה־ ya·‘ă·leh- shall go up GRAM DICO
לָּ֣נוּ lā·nū of us GRAM
בַתְּחִלָּ֔ה ḇat·tə·ḥil·lāh, first GRAM DICO
לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה lam·mil·ḥā·māh into battle GRAM DICO
עִם־ ‘im- against GRAM DICO
בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
בִנְיָמִ֑ן ḇin·yā·min; of Benjamin GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֥ה yə·hū·ḏāh Judah GRAM DICO
בַתְּחִלָּֽה׃ ḇat·tə·ḥil·lāh. first GRAM DICO
