וַֽיְהִי֙ way·hî And came GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, of Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
יוֹנָ֥ה yō·w·nāh Jonah GRAM DICO
בֶן־ ḇen- son GRAM DICO
אֲמִתַּ֖י ’ă·mit·tay of Amittai GRAM DICO

לֵאמֹֽר׃ lê·mōr. saying GRAM DICO

Jonas 1, 2
ק֠וּם qūm Arise GRAM DICO
､
לֵ֧ךְ lêḵ go GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
נִֽינְוֵ֛ה nî·nə·wêh Nineveh GRAM DICO
､
הָעִ֥יר hā·‘îr the city GRAM DICO
､
הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה hag·gə·ḏō·w·lāh great GRAM DICO
וּקְרָ֣א ū·qə·rā and cry out GRAM DICO
עָלֶ֑יהָ ‘ā·le·hā; against it GRAM DICO
כִּֽי־ kî- for GRAM DICO
עָלְתָ֥ה ‘ā·lə·ṯāh has come up GRAM DICO
רָעָתָ֖ם rā·‘ā·ṯām their wickedness GRAM DICO
לְפָנָֽי׃ lə·p̄ā·nāy. before Me GRAM DICO

Jonas 1, 3
וַיָּ֤קָם way·yā·qām But arose GRAM DICO
יוֹנָה֙ yō·w·nāh Jonah GRAM DICO
לִבְרֹ֣חַ liḇ·rō·aḥ to flee GRAM DICO
תַּרְשִׁ֔ישָׁה tar·šî·šāh, to Tarshish GRAM DICO
מִלִּפְנֵ֖י mil·lip̄·nê from the presence GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; of Yahweh GRAM DICO
､
וַיֵּ֨רֶד way·yê·reḏ and He went down GRAM DICO
יָפ֜וֹ yā·p̄ōw to Joppa GRAM DICO
–
וַיִּמְצָ֥א way·yim·ṣā and found GRAM DICO
אָנִיָּ֣ה ׀‪‬ ’ā·nî·yāh a ship GRAM DICO
בָּאָ֣ה bā·’āh going GRAM DICO
תַרְשִׁ֗ישׁ ṯar·šîš, to Tarshish GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּתֵּ֨ן way·yit·tên so he paid GRAM DICO
שְׂכָרָ֜הּ śə·ḵā·rāh the fare GRAM DICO
וַיֵּ֤רֶד way·yê·reḏ and went down GRAM DICO
בָּהּ֙ bāh into it GRAM
לָב֤וֹא lā·ḇō·w to go GRAM DICO
עִמָּהֶם֙ ‘im·mā·hem with them GRAM DICO
תַּרְשִׁ֔ישָׁה tar·šî·šāh, to Tarshish GRAM DICO
מִלִּפְנֵ֖י mil·lip̄·nê from the presence GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. of Yahweh GRAM DICO

וַֽיהוָ֗ה Yah·weh But Yahweh GRAM DICO
הֵטִ֤יל hê·ṭîl sent out GRAM DICO
רֽוּחַ־ rū·aḥ- a wind GRAM DICO
גְּדוֹלָה֙ gə·ḏō·w·lāh great GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- on GRAM DICO
הַיָּ֔ם hay·yām, the sea GRAM DICO
､
וַיְהִ֥י way·hî and there was GRAM DICO
סַֽעַר־ sa·‘ar- a tempest GRAM DICO
גָּד֖וֹל gā·ḏō·wl mighty GRAM DICO
בַּיָּ֑ם bay·yām; on the sea GRAM DICO
､
וְהָ֣אֳנִיָּ֔ה wə·hā·’o·nî·yāh, so that the ship GRAM DICO
חִשְּׁבָ֖ה ḥiš·šə·ḇāh was about GRAM DICO
לְהִשָּׁבֵֽר׃ lə·hiš·šā·ḇêr. to be broken up GRAM DICO

Jonas 1, 5
וַיִּֽירְא֣וּ way·yî·rə·’ū And were afraid GRAM DICO
､
הַמַּלָּחִ֗ים ham·mal·lā·ḥîm, the mariners GRAM DICO
וַֽיִּזְעֲקוּ֮ way·yiz·‘ă·qū and cried out GRAM DICO
אִ֣ישׁ ’îš every man GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהָיו֒ ’ĕ·lō·hāw his god GRAM DICO
､
וַיָּטִ֨לוּ way·yā·ṭi·lū and threw GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַכֵּלִ֜ים hak·kê·lîm the cargo GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֤ר ’ă·šer that [was] GRAM DICO
בָּֽאֳנִיָּה֙ bā·’o·nî·yāh in the ship GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- into GRAM DICO
הַיָּ֔ם hay·yām, the sea GRAM DICO
､
לְהָקֵ֖ל lə·hā·qêl to lighten the load GRAM DICO
מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֑ם mê·‘ă·lê·hem; of GRAM DICO
וְיוֹנָ֗ה wə·yō·w·nāh, but Jonah GRAM DICO
יָרַד֙ yā·raḏ had gone down GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- into GRAM DICO
יַרְכְּתֵ֣י yar·kə·ṯê the lowest parts GRAM DICO
הַסְּפִינָ֔ה has·sə·p̄î·nāh, of the ship GRAM DICO
–
וַיִּשְׁכַּ֖ב way·yiš·kaḇ and had lain down GRAM DICO
､
וַיֵּרָדַֽם׃ way·yê·rā·ḏam. and was fast asleep GRAM DICO

Jonas 1, 6
וַיִּקְרַ֤ב way·yiq·raḇ So came GRAM DICO
אֵלָיו֙ ’ê·lāw to him GRAM DICO
רַ֣ב raḇ the captain GRAM DICO
הַחֹבֵ֔ל ha·ḥō·ḇêl, the captain GRAM DICO
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
ל֖וֹ lōw to him GRAM
מַה־ mah- what GRAM DICO
לְּךָ֣ lə·ḵā do you mean GRAM
נִרְדָּ֑ם nir·dām; sleeper GRAM DICO
؟
ק֚וּם qūm Arise GRAM DICO
､
קְרָ֣א qə·rā call GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- on GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā, your God GRAM DICO
､
אוּלַ֞י ’ū·lay perhaps GRAM DICO
יִתְעַשֵּׁ֧ת yiṯ·‘aš·šêṯ will consider GRAM DICO
הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm your God GRAM DICO
לָ֖נוּ lā·nū us GRAM
וְלֹ֥א wə·lō so that not GRAM DICO
נֹאבֵֽד׃ nō·ḇêḏ. we may perish GRAM DICO

וַיֹּאמְר֞וּ way·yō·mə·rū And they said GRAM DICO
אִ֣ישׁ ’îš man GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
רֵעֵ֗הוּ rê·‘ê·hū, one another GRAM DICO
､
לְכוּ֙ lə·ḵū come GRAM DICO
､
וְנַפִּ֣ילָה wə·nap·pî·lāh and let us cast GRAM DICO
גֽוֹרָל֔וֹת ḡō·w·rā·lō·wṯ, lots GRAM DICO
､
וְנֵ֣דְעָ֔ה wə·nê·ḏə·‘āh, that we may know GRAM DICO
בְּשֶׁלְּמִ֛י bə·šel·lə·mî by whom GRAM DICO
הָרָעָ֥ה hā·rā·‘āh trouble GRAM DICO
הַזֹּ֖את haz·zōṯ this GRAM DICO
לָ֑נוּ lā·nū; [is] upon us GRAM
וַיַּפִּ֙לוּ֙ way·yap·pi·lū so they cast GRAM DICO
גּֽוֹרָל֔וֹת gō·w·rā·lō·wṯ, lots GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּפֹּ֥ל way·yip·pōl and fell GRAM DICO
הַגּוֹרָ֖ל hag·gō·w·rāl the lot GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO
יוֹנָֽה׃ yō·w·nāh. Jonah GRAM DICO

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ way·yō·mə·rū And they said GRAM DICO
אֵלָ֔יו ’ê·lāw, to him GRAM DICO
הַגִּידָה־ hag·gî·ḏāh- tell GRAM DICO
נָּ֣א nā please GRAM DICO
､
לָ֔נוּ lā·nū, us GRAM
בַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר ba·’ă·šer which GRAM DICO
לְמִי־ lə·mî- for whom GRAM DICO
הָרָעָ֥ה hā·rā·‘āh trouble GRAM DICO
הַזֹּ֖את haz·zōṯ this GRAM DICO
לָ֑נוּ lā·nū; [is] upon us GRAM
מַה־ mah- what [is] GRAM DICO
מְּלַאכְתְּךָ֙ mə·laḵ·tə·ḵā your occupation GRAM DICO
؟
וּמֵאַ֣יִן ū·mê·’a·yin and from where GRAM DICO
תָּב֔וֹא tā·ḇō·w, do you come GRAM DICO
מָ֣ה māh what [is] GRAM DICO
אַרְצֶ֔ךָ ’ar·ṣe·ḵā, your country GRAM DICO
؟
וְאֵֽי־ wə·’ê- and from where GRAM DICO
מִזֶּ֥ה miz·zeh this GRAM DICO
עַ֖ם ‘am people GRAM DICO
אָֽתָּה׃ ’āt·tāh. [are] you GRAM DICO
