וַתִּשְׁמַ֣ע wat·tiš·ma‘ And when heard GRAM DICO
עֲתַלְיָ֔ה ‘ă·ṯal·yāh, Athaliah GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
ק֥וֹל qō·wl the noise GRAM DICO
הָֽרָצִ֖ין hā·rā·ṣîn of the escorts GRAM DICO
הָעָ֑ם hā·‘ām; [and] the people GRAM DICO
､
וַתָּבֹ֥א wat·tā·ḇō and she came GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
הָעָ֖ם hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
בֵּ֥ית bêṯ [in] the temple GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. of Yahweh GRAM DICO

וַתֵּ֡רֶא wat·tê·re And when she looked GRAM DICO
､
וְהִנֵּ֣ה wə·hin·nêh and there was GRAM DICO
､
הַמֶּלֶךְ֩ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO
עֹמֵ֨ד ‘ō·mêḏ standing GRAM DICO
עַֽל־ ‘al- by GRAM DICO
הָעַמּ֜וּד hā·‘am·mūḏ a pillar GRAM DICO
､
כַּמִּשְׁפָּ֗ט kam·miš·pāṭ, according to custom GRAM DICO
וְהַשָּׂרִ֤ים wə·haś·śā·rîm and the leaders GRAM DICO
וְהַחֲצֹֽצְרוֹת֙ wə·ha·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rō·wṯ and the trumpeters were GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- by GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ, the king GRAM DICO
､
וְכָל־ wə·ḵāl and all GRAM DICO
עַ֤ם ‘am the people GRAM DICO
הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ hā·’ā·reṣ of the land GRAM DICO
שָׂמֵ֔חַ śā·mê·aḥ, were rejoicing GRAM DICO
､
וְתֹקֵ֖עַ wə·ṯō·qê·a‘ and blowing GRAM DICO
בַּחֲצֹֽצְר֑וֹת ba·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rō·wṯ; trumpets GRAM DICO
.
וַתִּקְרַ֤ע wat·tiq·ra‘ So tore GRAM DICO
עֲתַלְיָה֙ ‘ă·ṯal·yāh Athaliah GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
בְּגָדֶ֔יהָ bə·ḡā·ḏe·hā, her clothes GRAM DICO
､
וַתִּקְרָ֖א wat·tiq·rā and cried out GRAM DICO
､
קֶ֥שֶׁר qe·šer Treason GRAM DICO
､
קָֽשֶׁר׃ qā·šer. Treason GRAM DICO

וַיְצַו֩ way·ṣaw And commanded GRAM DICO
יְהוֹיָדָ֨ע yə·hō·w·yā·ḏā‘ Jehoiada GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֵ֜ן hak·kō·hên the priest GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
שָׂרֵ֥י śā·rê the captains GRAM DICO
[המיאות] ham·mê·’ō·wṯ of hundreds GRAM
(הַמֵּא֣וֹת ׀) ham·mê·’ō·wṯ the hundreds GRAM DICO
､
פְּקֻדֵ֣י pə·qu·ḏê the officers GRAM DICO
הַחַ֗יִל ha·ḥa·yil, of the army GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
אֲלֵיהֶם֙ ’ă·lê·hem to them GRAM DICO
הוֹצִ֤יאוּ hō·w·ṣî·’ū take outside GRAM DICO
אֹתָהּ֙ ’ō·ṯāh her GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- outside GRAM DICO
מִבֵּ֣ית mib·bêṯ in the house GRAM DICO
לַשְּׂדֵרֹ֔ת laś·śə·ḏê·rōṯ, under guard GRAM DICO
､
וְהַבָּ֥א wə·hab·bā and GRAM DICO
אַחֲרֶ֖יהָ ’a·ḥă·re·hā whoever follows her GRAM DICO
הָמֵ֣ת hā·mêṯ slay GRAM DICO
בֶּחָ֑רֶב be·ḥā·reḇ; with the sword GRAM DICO

כִּ֚י kî For GRAM DICO
אָמַ֣ר ’ā·mar had said GRAM DICO
､
הַכֹּהֵ֔ן hak·kō·hên, the priest GRAM DICO
אַל־ ’al- not GRAM DICO
תּוּמַ֖ת tū·maṯ do let her be killed GRAM DICO
בֵּ֥ית bêṯ in the house GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. of Yahweh GRAM DICO

וַיָּשִׂ֤מוּ way·yā·śi·mū So they seized GRAM DICO
לָהּ֙ lāh her GRAM
יָדַ֔יִם yā·ḏa·yim, hands GRAM DICO
וַתָּב֛וֹא wat·tā·ḇō·w and she went GRAM DICO
דֶּֽרֶךְ־ de·reḵ- by way GRAM DICO
מְב֥וֹא mə·ḇō·w of entrance GRAM DICO
הַסּוּסִ֖ים has·sū·sîm the horses' GRAM DICO
בֵּ֣ית bêṯ [into] house GRAM DICO
､
הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ; of the king GRAM DICO
וַתּוּמַ֖ת wat·tū·maṯ and she was killed GRAM DICO
שָֽׁם׃ šām. there GRAM DICO

הַבְּרִ֗ית hab·bə·rîṯ, a covenant GRAM DICO
בֵּ֤ין bên between GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
וּבֵ֤ין ū·ḇên and GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO
וּבֵ֣ין ū·ḇên and GRAM DICO
הָעָ֔ם hā·‘ām, the people GRAM DICO
､
לִהְי֥וֹת lih·yō·wṯ that they should be GRAM DICO
לְעָ֖ם lə·‘ām people GRAM DICO
–
לַֽיהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; of Yahweh GRAM DICO
וּבֵ֥ין ū·ḇên and [also] between GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO
וּבֵ֥ין ū·ḇên and GRAM DICO
הָעָֽם׃ hā·‘ām. the people GRAM DICO

וַיָּבֹ֣אוּ way·yā·ḇō·’ū And went GRAM DICO
כָל־ ḵāl all GRAM DICO
עַם֩ ‘am the people GRAM DICO
הָאָ֨רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ of the land GRAM DICO
בֵּית־ bêṯ- to the temple GRAM DICO
הַבַּ֜עַל hab·ba·‘al of Baal GRAM DICO
､
וַֽיִּתְּצֻ֗הוּ way·yit·tə·ṣu·hū, and tore it down GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
[מזבחתו] miz·bə·ḥō·ṯōw  -  GRAM
(מִזְבְּחֹתָ֤יו) miz·bə·ḥō·ṯāw its altars GRAM DICO
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
צְלָמָיו֙ ṣə·lā·māw images GRAM DICO
שִׁבְּר֣וּ šib·bə·rū they broke in pieces GRAM DICO
הֵיטֵ֔ב hê·ṭêḇ, thoroughly GRAM DICO
､
וְאֵ֗ת wə·’êṯ, and GRAM DICO
מַתָּן֙ mat·tān Mattan GRAM DICO
כֹּהֵ֣ן kō·hên the priest GRAM DICO
הַבַּ֔עַל hab·ba·‘al, of Baal GRAM DICO
הָרְג֖וּ hā·rə·ḡū killed GRAM DICO
לִפְנֵ֣י lip̄·nê before GRAM DICO
הַֽמִּזְבְּח֑וֹת ham·miz·bə·ḥō·wṯ; the altars GRAM DICO
.
וַיָּ֧שֶׂם way·yā·śem And appointed GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֵ֛ן hak·kō·hên the priest GRAM DICO
פְּקֻדּ֖וֹת pə·qud·dō·wṯ officers GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- over GRAM DICO
בֵּ֥ית bêṯ the house GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. of Yahweh GRAM DICO
