וַיִּקַּ֣ח way·yiq·qaḥ And he took GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
שָׂרֵ֣י śā·rê the captains GRAM DICO
הַ֠מֵּאוֹת ham·mê·’ō·wṯ of hundreds GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
הַכָּרִ֨י hak·kā·rî the bodyguards GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
הָרָצִ֜ים hā·rā·ṣîm the escorts GRAM DICO
､
וְאֵ֣ת ׀ wə·’êṯ and GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO
עַ֣ם ‘am the people GRAM DICO
הָאָ֗רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ, of the land GRAM DICO
–
וַיֹּרִ֤ידוּ way·yō·rî·ḏū and they brought down GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO
מִבֵּ֣ית mib·bêṯ from the house GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, of Yahweh GRAM DICO
､
וַיָּב֛וֹאוּ way·yā·ḇō·w·’ū and went GRAM DICO
דֶּֽרֶך־ de·reḵ- by way GRAM DICO
שַׁ֥עַר‪‬ ša·‘ar of the gate GRAM DICO
הָרָצִ֖ים hā·rā·ṣîm of the escorts GRAM DICO
בֵּ֣ית bêṯ house GRAM DICO
.
הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ; Of to the king GRAM DICO
וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב way·yê·šeḇ and he sat GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO
כִּסֵּ֥א kis·sê the throne GRAM DICO
הַמְּלָכִֽים׃ ham·mə·lā·ḵîm. of the kings GRAM DICO

וְהָעִ֣יר wə·hā·‘îr and the city GRAM DICO
שָׁקָ֑טָה šā·qā·ṭāh; was quiet GRAM DICO

מָלַ֣ךְ mā·laḵ became king GRAM DICO

יְהוֹאָ֔שׁ yə·hō·w·’āš, Jehoash GRAM DICO
וְאַרְבָּעִ֣ים wə·’ar·bā·‘îm and forty GRAM DICO
שָׁנָ֔ה šā·nāh, years GRAM DICO
מָלַ֖ךְ mā·laḵ he reigned GRAM DICO
בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם bî·rū·šā·lim; in Jerusalem GRAM DICO

וְשֵׁ֣ם wə·šêm And name [was] GRAM DICO
אִמּ֔וֹ ’im·mōw, of His mother GRAM DICO
צִבְיָ֖ה ṣiḇ·yāh Zibiah GRAM DICO
מִבְּאֵ֥ר mib·bə·’êr of GRAM

הַיָּשָׁ֛ר hay·yā·šār [what was] right GRAM DICO
בְּעֵינֵ֥י bə·‘ê·nê in the sight GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh of Yahweh GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO
יָמָ֑יו yā·māw; the days GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֣ר ’ă·šer in which GRAM DICO
הוֹרָ֔הוּ hō·w·rā·hū, instructed him GRAM DICO
יְהוֹיָדָ֖ע yə·hō·w·yā·ḏā‘ Jehoiada GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ hak·kō·hên. the priest GRAM DICO

הָעָ֛ם hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
מְזַבְּחִ֥ים mə·zab·bə·ḥîm sacrificed GRAM DICO
וּֽמְקַטְּרִ֖ים ū·mə·qaṭ·ṭə·rîm and burned incense GRAM DICO
בַּבָּמֽוֹת׃ bab·bā·mō·wṯ. on the high places GRAM DICO

יְהוֹאָ֜שׁ yə·hō·w·’āš Jehoash GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים hak·kō·hă·nîm, the priests GRAM DICO
､
כֹּל֩ kōl all GRAM DICO
כֶּ֨סֶף ke·sep̄ the money GRAM DICO
הַקֳּדָשִׁ֜ים haq·qo·ḏā·šîm of the dedicated gifts GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- that GRAM DICO
יוּבָ֤א yū·ḇā are brought GRAM DICO
בֵית־ ḇêṯ- into the house GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh of Yahweh GRAM DICO
､
כֶּ֣סֶף ke·sep̄ money GRAM DICO
עוֹבֵ֔ר ‘ō·w·ḇêr, census GRAM DICO
אִ֕ישׁ ’îš of each man GRAM DICO
כֶּ֥סֶף ke·sep̄ money GRAM DICO
נַפְשׁ֖וֹת nap̄·šō·wṯ of each man GRAM DICO
עֶרְכּ֑וֹ ‘er·kōw; assessment GRAM DICO
､
כָּל־ kāl- [and] all GRAM DICO
כֶּ֗סֶף ke·sep̄, the money GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֤ר ’ă·šer that GRAM DICO
יַֽעֲלֶה֙ ya·‘ă·leh purposes GRAM DICO
עַ֣ל ‘al in GRAM DICO
לֶב־ leḇ- his heart GRAM DICO
אִ֔ישׁ ’îš, a man GRAM DICO
לְהָבִ֖יא lə·hā·ḇî to bring GRAM DICO
בֵּ֥ית bêṯ into the house GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. of Yahweh GRAM DICO

לָהֶם֙ lā·hem themselves GRAM
הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים hak·kō·hă·nîm, the priests GRAM DICO
אִ֖ישׁ ’îš each GRAM DICO
מֵאֵ֣ת mê·’êṯ from GRAM DICO
מַכָּר֑וֹ mak·kā·rōw; his constituency GRAM DICO
–
וְהֵ֗ם wə·hêm, and they GRAM DICO
יְחַזְּקוּ֙ yə·ḥaz·zə·qū may repair GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
בֶּ֣דֶק be·ḏeq the damages GRAM DICO
הַבַּ֔יִת hab·ba·yiṯ, of the temple GRAM DICO
､
לְכֹ֛ל lə·ḵōl wherever GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- wherever GRAM DICO
יִמָּצֵ֥א yim·mā·ṣê is found GRAM DICO
.
שָׁ֖ם šām Any GRAM DICO
בָּֽדֶק׃ bā·ḏeq. any dilapidation GRAM DICO
