I Samuel 28, 1

וַֽיְהִי֙ way·hî And it came to pass GRAM DICO

בַּיָּמִ֣ים bay·yā·mîm in days GRAM DICO

הָהֵ֔ם hā·hêm, those GRAM DICO

וַיִּקְבְּצ֨וּ way·yiq·bə·ṣū that gathered together GRAM DICO

פְלִשְׁתִּ֤ים p̄ə·liš·tîm the Philistines GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

מַֽחֲנֵיהֶם֙ ma·ḥă·nê·hem their armies GRAM DICO

לַצָּבָ֔א laṣ·ṣā·ḇā, for war GRAM DICO

､

לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם lə·hil·lā·ḥêm to fight GRAM DICO

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל bə·yiś·rā·’êl; with Israel GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO

אָכִישׁ֙ ’ā·ḵîš Achish GRAM DICO

אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO

דָּוִ֔ד dā·wiḏ, David GRAM DICO

､

יָדֹ֣עַ yā·ḏō·a‘ assuredly GRAM DICO

תֵּדַ֗ע tê·ḏa‘, You know GRAM DICO

כִּ֤י kî that GRAM DICO

אִתִּי֙ ’it·tî with me GRAM DICO

תֵּצֵ֣א tê·ṣê you will go out GRAM DICO

בַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה ḇam·ma·ḥă·neh, to battle GRAM DICO

､

אַתָּ֖ה ’at·tāh you GRAM DICO

וַאֲנָשֶֽׁיךָ׃ wa·’ă·nā·še·ḵā. and your men GRAM DICO

דָּוִד֙ dā·wiḏ David GRAM DICO

אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO

אָכִ֔ישׁ ’ā·ḵîš, Achish GRAM DICO

､

לָכֵן֙ lā·ḵên surely GRAM DICO

אַתָּ֣ה ’at·tāh you GRAM DICO

תֵדַ֔ע ṯê·ḏa‘, know GRAM DICO

אֵ֥ת ’êṯ - GRAM DICO

אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- what GRAM DICO

יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה ya·‘ă·śeh can do GRAM DICO

עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ ‘aḇ·de·ḵā; Your servant GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO

אָכִישׁ֙ ’ā·ḵîš Achish GRAM DICO

אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO

דָּוִ֔ד dā·wiḏ, David GRAM DICO

､

לָכֵ֗ן lā·ḵên, therefore GRAM DICO

שֹׁמֵ֧ר šō·mêr one of my guardians GRAM DICO

לְרֹאשִׁ֛י lə·rō·šî chief GRAM DICO

אֲשִֽׂימְךָ֖ ’ă·śî·mə·ḵā I will make you GRAM DICO

כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO

הַיָּמִֽים׃ hay·yā·mîm. forever GRAM DICO

וּשְׁמוּאֵ֣ל ū·šə·mū·’êl And Samuel GRAM DICO

מֵ֔ת mêṯ, had died GRAM DICO

､

וַיִּסְפְּדוּ־ way·yis·pə·ḏū- and had lamented GRAM DICO

לוֹ֙ lōw for him GRAM

כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, Israel GRAM DICO

וַיִּקְבְּרֻ֥הוּ way·yiq·bə·ru·hū and buried him GRAM DICO

בָרָמָ֖ה ḇā·rā·māh in Ramah GRAM DICO

､

וּבְעִיר֑וֹ ū·ḇə·‘î·rōw; and in his own city GRAM DICO

וְשָׁא֗וּל wə·šā·’ūl, And Saul GRAM DICO

הֵסִ֛יר hê·sîr had put GRAM DICO

הָאֹב֥וֹת hā·’ō·ḇō·wṯ the mediums GRAM DICO

､

וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO

הַיִּדְּעֹנִ֖ים hay·yid·də·‘ō·nîm the spiritists GRAM DICO

､

מֵהָאָֽרֶץ׃ mê·hā·’ā·reṣ. out of the land GRAM DICO

וַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ way·yiq·qā·ḇə·ṣū And gathered together GRAM DICO

､

פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים p̄ə·liš·tîm, the Philistines GRAM DICO

וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ way·yā·ḇō·’ū and came GRAM DICO

וַיַּחֲנ֣וּ way·ya·ḥă·nū and encamped GRAM DICO

בְשׁוּנֵ֑ם ḇə·šū·nêm; at Shunem GRAM DICO

וַיִּקְבֹּ֤ץ way·yiq·bōṣ so gathered together GRAM DICO

שָׁאוּל֙ šā·’ūl Saul GRAM DICO

כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, Israel GRAM DICO

וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ way·ya·ḥă·nū and they encamped GRAM DICO

בַּגִּלְבֹּֽעַ׃ bag·gil·bō·a‘. at Gilboa GRAM DICO

מַחֲנֵ֣ה ma·ḥă·nêh the army GRAM DICO

פְלִשְׁתִּ֑ים p̄ə·liš·tîm; of the Philistines GRAM DICO

､

וַיִּרָ֕א way·yi·rā and he was afraid GRAM DICO

､

וַיֶּחֱרַ֥ד way·ye·ḥĕ·raḏ and trembled GRAM DICO

לִבּ֖וֹ lib·bōw his heart GRAM DICO

מְאֹֽד׃ mə·’ōḏ. greatly GRAM DICO

וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל way·yiš·’al And when inquired GRAM DICO

שָׁאוּל֙ šā·’ūl Saul GRAM DICO

בַּֽיהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, of Yahweh GRAM DICO

､

וְלֹ֥א wə·lō and not GRAM DICO

､

עָנָ֖הוּ ‘ā·nā·hū did answer him GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; Yahweh GRAM DICO

גַּ֧ם gam either GRAM DICO

בַּחֲלֹמ֛וֹת ba·ḥă·lō·mō·wṯ by dreams GRAM DICO

לַעֲבָדָ֗יו la·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw, to his servants GRAM DICO

בַּקְּשׁוּ־ baq·qə·šū- Find GRAM DICO

לִי֙ lî me GRAM

אֵ֣שֶׁת ’ê·šeṯ a woman GRAM DICO

בַּעֲלַת־ ba·‘ă·laṯ- who is GRAM DICO

א֔וֹב ’ō·wḇ, a medium GRAM DICO

､

וְאֵלְכָ֥ה wə·’ê·lə·ḵāh that I may go GRAM DICO

אֵלֶ֖יהָ ’ê·le·hā to her GRAM DICO

וְאֶדְרְשָׁה־ wə·’eḏ·rə·šāh- and inquire GRAM DICO

בָּ֑הּ bāh; of her GRAM

וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ way·yō·mə·rū and said GRAM DICO

עֲבָדָיו֙ ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw his servants GRAM DICO

אֵלָ֔יו ’ê·lāw, to him GRAM DICO

הִנֵּ֛ה hin·nêh in fact [there is] GRAM DICO

､

אֵ֥שֶׁת ’ê·šeṯ a woman GRAM DICO

בַּֽעֲלַת־ ba·‘ă·laṯ- who is GRAM DICO

א֖וֹב ’ō·wḇ a medium GRAM DICO

בְּעֵ֥ין bə·‘ên at GRAM

דּֽוֹר׃ dō·wr. En Dor GRAM DICO
