וַיְהִ֥י way·hî So was GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer and spoke GRAM DICO

אֲלֵיהֶם֙ ’ă·lê·hem to them GRAM DICO

לֵאמֹ֔ר lê·mōr, saying GRAM DICO

עֲל֖וּ ‘ă·lū go up GRAM DICO

וְרַגְּל֣וּ wə·rag·gə·lū and spy out GRAM DICO

הָאָ֑רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ; the country GRAM DICO

וַֽיַּעֲלוּ֙ way·ya·‘ă·lū So went up GRAM DICO

הָאֲנָשִׁ֔ים hā·’ă·nā·šîm, the men GRAM DICO

וַֽיְרַגְּל֖וּ way·rag·gə·lū and spied out GRAM DICO

הָעָֽי׃ hā·‘āy. Ai GRAM DICO

וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ way·yā·šu·ḇū And they returned GRAM DICO

אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO

יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘, Joshua GRAM DICO

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ way·yō·mə·rū and said GRAM DICO

אֵלָיו֮ ’ê·lāw to him GRAM DICO

אַל־ ’al- not GRAM DICO

יַ֣עַל ya·‘al do let go up GRAM DICO

הָעָם֒ hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO

אִ֗ישׁ ’îš, men GRAM DICO

יַעֲל֖וּ ya·‘ă·lū let go up GRAM DICO

וְיַכּ֣וּ wə·yak·kū and attack GRAM DICO

תְּיַגַּע־ tə·yag·ga‘- do weary GRAM DICO

וַיַּעֲל֤וּ way·ya·‘ă·lū So went up GRAM DICO

שָׁ֔מָּה šām·māh, there GRAM DICO

כִּשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת kiš·lō·šeṯ about three GRAM DICO

אֲלָפִ֖ים ’ă·lā·p̄îm thousand GRAM DICO

אִ֑ישׁ ’îš; men GRAM DICO

וַיָּנֻ֕סוּ way·yā·nu·sū but they fled GRAM DICO

אַנְשֵׁ֥י ’an·šê the men GRAM DICO

הָעָֽי׃ hā·‘āy. of Ai GRAM DICO

וַיַּכּ֨וּ way·yak·kū And struck down GRAM DICO

מֵהֶ֜ם mê·hem like GRAM DICO

אַנְשֵׁ֣י ’an·šê the men GRAM DICO

הָעַ֗י hā·‘ay, of Ai GRAM DICO

כִּשְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים kiš·lō·šîm about thirty GRAM DICO

וְשִׁשָּׁה֙ wə·šiš·šāh and six GRAM DICO

אִ֔ישׁ ’îš, men GRAM DICO

וַֽיִּרְדְּפ֞וּם way·yir·də·p̄ūm for they chased them GRAM DICO

לִפְנֵ֤י lip̄·nê [from] before GRAM DICO

הַשַּׁ֙עַר֙ haš·ša·‘ar the gate GRAM DICO

עַד־ ‘aḏ- as far as GRAM DICO

הַשְּׁבָרִ֔ים haš·šə·ḇā·rîm, Shebarim GRAM DICO

､

וַיַּכּ֖וּם way·yak·kūm and struck them down GRAM DICO

בַּמּוֹרָ֑ד bam·mō·w·rāḏ; on the descent GRAM DICO

､

וַיִּמַּ֥ס way·yim·mas therefore melted GRAM DICO

､

לְבַב־ lə·ḇaḇ- the hearts GRAM DICO

הָעָ֖ם hā·‘ām of the people GRAM DICO

וַיְהִ֥י way·hî and became GRAM DICO

לְמָֽיִם׃ lə·mā·yim. like water GRAM DICO

וַיִּקְרַ֨ע way·yiq·ra‘ And tore GRAM DICO

יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ Joshua GRAM DICO

שִׂמְלֹתָ֗יו śim·lō·ṯāw, his clothes GRAM DICO

וַיִּפֹּל֩ way·yip·pōl and fell GRAM DICO

עַל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO

פָּנָ֨יו pā·nāw his face GRAM DICO

אַ֜רְצָה ’ar·ṣāh to the earth GRAM DICO

לִפְנֵ֨י lip̄·nê before GRAM DICO

אֲר֤וֹן ’ă·rō·wn the ark GRAM DICO

יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh of Yahweh GRAM DICO

עַד־ ‘aḏ- until GRAM DICO

הָעֶ֔רֶב hā·‘e·reḇ, evening GRAM DICO

､
