II Samuel 2, 15
וַיָּקֻ֖מוּ way·yā·qu·mū So they arose GRAM DICO
וַיַּעַבְר֣וּ way·ya·‘aḇ·rū and went over GRAM DICO
בְמִסְפָּ֑ר ḇə·mis·pār; by number GRAM DICO
שְׁנֵ֧ים šə·nêm two GRAM DICO
עָשָׂ֣ר ‘ā·śār [and] ten GRAM DICO
לְבִנְיָמִ֗ן lə·ḇin·yā·min, from Benjamin GRAM DICO
､
וּלְאִ֥ישׁ ū·lə·’îš and
בֹּ֙שֶׁת֙ bō·šeṯ [followers] of Ishbosheth GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
שָׁא֔וּל šā·’ūl, of Saul GRAM DICO
､
וּשְׁנֵ֥ים ū·šə·nêm and two GRAM DICO
עָשָׂ֖ר ‘ā·śār [and] ten GRAM DICO
מֵעַבְדֵ֥י mê·‘aḇ·ḏê from the servants GRAM DICO
דָוִֽד׃ ḏā·wiḏ. of David GRAM DICO

II Samuel 2, 16
וַֽיַּחֲזִ֜קוּ way·ya·ḥă·zi·qū And grasped GRAM DICO
אִ֣ישׁ ׀ ’îš each one GRAM DICO
בְּרֹ֣אשׁ bə·rōš by the head GRAM DICO
､
רֵעֵ֗הוּ rê·‘ê·hū, his opponent GRAM DICO
וְחַרְבּוֹ֙ wə·ḥar·bōw and [thrust] his sword GRAM DICO
בְּצַ֣ד bə·ṣaḏ in side GRAM DICO
–
רֵעֵ֔הוּ rê·‘ê·hū, of his opponent GRAM DICO
וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ way·yip·pə·lū so they fell down GRAM DICO
יַחְדָּ֑ו yaḥ·dāw; together GRAM DICO
–
וַיִּקְרָא֙ way·yiq·rā therefore was called GRAM DICO
לַמָּק֣וֹם lam·mā·qō·wm place GRAM DICO
הַה֔וּא ha·hū, that GRAM DICO
חֶלְקַ֥ת ḥel·qaṯ  - 
הַצֻּרִ֖ים haṣ·ṣu·rîm the Field of Swords GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer which [is] GRAM DICO
בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃ bə·ḡiḇ·‘ō·wn. in Gibeon GRAM DICO

וַתְּהִ֧י wat·tə·hî So there was GRAM DICO
הַמִּלְחָמָ֛ה ham·mil·ḥā·māh a battle GRAM DICO
קָשָׁ֥ה qā·šāh fierce GRAM DICO
עַד־ ‘aḏ- even to GRAM DICO
מְאֹ֖ד mə·’ōḏ very GRAM DICO
בַּיּ֣וֹם bay·yō·wm day GRAM DICO
–
הַה֑וּא ha·hū; that GRAM DICO
וַיִּנָּ֤גֶף way·yin·nā·ḡep̄ and were beaten GRAM DICO
､
אַבְנֵר֙ ’aḇ·nêr Abner GRAM DICO
וְאַנְשֵׁ֣י wə·’an·šê and the men GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO
､
לִפְנֵ֖י lip̄·nê before GRAM DICO
עַבְדֵ֥י ‘aḇ·ḏê the servants GRAM DICO
דָוִֽד׃ ḏā·wiḏ. of David GRAM DICO

שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ šə·lō·šāh three GRAM DICO
בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
צְרוּיָ֔ה ṣə·rū·yāh, of Zeruiah GRAM DICO
יוֹאָ֥ב yō·w·’āḇ Joab GRAM DICO
､
וַאֲבִישַׁ֖י wa·’ă·ḇî·šay and Abishai GRAM DICO
､
וַעֲשָׂהאֵ֑ל wa·‘ă·śā·h·’êl; and Asahel GRAM DICO
–
וַעֲשָׂהאֵל֙ wa·‘ă·śā·h·’êl and Asahel GRAM DICO
קַ֣ל qal [was as] fleet GRAM DICO
בְּרַגְלָ֔יו bə·raḡ·lāw, of foot GRAM DICO
כְּאַחַ֥ד kə·’a·ḥaḏ as one GRAM DICO
הַצְּבָיִ֖ם haṣ·ṣə·ḇā·yim of the gazelles GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer that GRAM DICO
בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ baś·śā·ḏeh. wild GRAM DICO

וַיִּרְדֹּ֥ף way·yir·dōp̄ So pursued GRAM DICO
עֲשָׂהאֵ֖ל ‘ă·śā·h·’êl Asahel GRAM DICO
אַחֲרֵ֣י ’a·ḥă·rê after GRAM DICO
אַבְנֵ֑ר ’aḇ·nêr; Abner GRAM DICO
–
וְלֹֽא־ wə·lō- and not GRAM DICO
נָטָ֣ה nā·ṭāh he did turn GRAM DICO
לָלֶ֗כֶת lā·le·ḵeṯ, in going GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- to GRAM DICO
הַיָּמִין֙ hay·yā·mîn the right hand GRAM DICO
וְעַֽל־ wə·‘al- or to GRAM DICO
הַשְּׂמֹ֔אול haś·śə·mō·wl, the left GRAM DICO
מֵאַחֲרֵ֖י mê·’a·ḥă·rê from following GRAM DICO
אַבְנֵֽר׃ ’aḇ·nêr. Abner GRAM DICO

וַיִּ֤פֶן way·yi·p̄en And looked GRAM DICO
אַבְנֵר֙ ’aḇ·nêr Abner GRAM DICO
אַֽחֲרָ֔יו ’a·ḥă·rāw, behind him GRAM DICO
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
הַאַתָּ֥ה ha·’at·tāh [Is] you GRAM DICO
זֶ֖ה zeh this GRAM DICO
עֲשָׂהאֵ֑ל ‘ă·śā·h·’êl; Asahel GRAM DICO
؟
וַיֹּ֖אמֶר way·yō·mer and He answered GRAM DICO
､
אָנֹֽכִי׃ ’ā·nō·ḵî. I [am] GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֧אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO
ל֣וֹ lōw to him GRAM
אַבְנֵ֗ר ’aḇ·nêr, Abner GRAM DICO
נְטֵ֤ה nə·ṭêh Turn aside GRAM DICO
לְךָ֙ lə·ḵā to GRAM
עַל־ ‘al-  -  GRAM DICO
יְמִֽינְךָ֙ yə·mî·nə·ḵā your right hand GRAM DICO
א֣וֹ ’ōw or GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- to GRAM DICO
שְׂמֹאלֶ֔ךָ śə·mō·le·ḵā, your left GRAM DICO
､
וֶאֱחֹ֣ז we·’ĕ·ḥōz and lay hold GRAM DICO
לְךָ֗ lə·ḵā, on GRAM
אֶחָד֙ ’e·ḥāḏ one GRAM DICO
מֵֽהַנְּעָרִ֔ים mê·han·nə·‘ā·rîm, of the young men GRAM DICO
､
וְקַח־ wə·qaḥ- and take GRAM DICO
לְךָ֖ lə·ḵā for yourself GRAM
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
חֲלִצָת֑וֹ ḥă·li·ṣā·ṯōw; his armor GRAM DICO
.
וְלֹֽא־ wə·lō- But not GRAM DICO
אָבָ֣ה ’ā·ḇāh would GRAM DICO
עֲשָׂהאֵ֔ל ‘ă·śā·h·’êl, Asahel GRAM DICO
לָס֖וּר lā·sūr turn aside GRAM DICO
מֵאַחֲרָֽיו׃ mê·’a·ḥă·rāw. from following him GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֧סֶף way·yō·sep̄ So again GRAM DICO
ע֣וֹד ‘ō·wḏ again GRAM DICO
אַבְנֵ֗ר ’aḇ·nêr, Abner GRAM DICO
לֵאמֹר֙ lê·mōr said GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
עֲשָׂהאֵ֔ל ‘ă·śā·h·’êl, Asahel GRAM DICO
､
ס֥וּר sūr Turn aside GRAM DICO
לְךָ֖ lə·ḵā from GRAM
מֵאַֽחֲרָ֑י mê·’a·ḥă·rāy; following me GRAM DICO
לָ֤מָּה lām·māh why GRAM DICO
אַכֶּ֙כָּה֙ ’ak·kek·kāh should I strike you GRAM DICO
אַ֔רְצָה ’ar·ṣāh, to the ground GRAM DICO
؟
וְאֵיךְ֙ wə·’êḵ then how GRAM DICO
אֶשָּׂ֣א ’eś·śā could I GRAM DICO
פָנַ֔י p̄ā·nay, face GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- unto GRAM DICO
יוֹאָ֖ב yō·w·’āḇ Joab GRAM DICO
אָחִֽיךָ׃ ’ā·ḥî·ḵā. your brother GRAM DICO
