וַיֹּ֗אמֶר way·yō·mer, And He said GRAM DICO

､

צֵ֣א ṣê go out GRAM DICO

､

וְעָמַדְתָּ֣ wə·‘ā·maḏ·tā and stand GRAM DICO

בָהָר֮ ḇā·hār on the mountain GRAM DICO

לִפְנֵ֣י lip̄·nê before GRAM DICO

יְהוָה֒ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

וְהִנֵּ֧ה wə·hin·nêh And behold GRAM DICO

､

יְהוָ֣ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

עֹבֵ֗ר ‘ō·ḇêr, passed by GRAM DICO

､

וְר֣וּחַ wə·rū·aḥ and a wind GRAM DICO

גְּדוֹלָ֡ה gə·ḏō·w·lāh great GRAM DICO

וְחָזָ֞ק wə·ḥā·zāq and mighty GRAM DICO

מְפָרֵק֩ mə·p̄ā·rêq tore into GRAM DICO

הָרִ֨ים hā·rîm the mountains GRAM DICO

､

וּמְשַׁבֵּ֤ר ū·mə·šab·bêr and broke in pieces GRAM DICO

סְלָעִים֙ sə·lā·‘îm the rocks GRAM DICO

לִפְנֵ֣י lip̄·nê before GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, Yahweh GRAM DICO

–

לֹ֥א lō [but] not GRAM DICO

בָר֖וּחַ ḇā·rū·aḥ in the wind GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; Yahweh [was] GRAM DICO

וְאַחַ֤ר wə·’a·ḥar and after GRAM DICO

הָר֨וּחַ‪‬ hā·rū·aḥ the wind GRAM DICO

רַ֔עַשׁ ra·‘aš, an earthquake GRAM DICO

–

לֹ֥א lō not GRAM DICO

בָרַ֖עַשׁ ḇā·ra·‘aš in the earthquake GRAM DICO

יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. [but] Yahweh [was] GRAM DICO

הָרַ֙עַשׁ֙ hā·ra·‘aš the earthquake GRAM DICO

אֵ֔שׁ ’êš, a fire GRAM DICO

בָאֵ֖שׁ ḇā·’êš in the fire GRAM DICO

–

יְהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; [but] Yahweh [was] GRAM DICO

וְאַחַ֣ר wə·’a·ḥar and after GRAM DICO

הָאֵ֔שׁ hā·’êš, the fire GRAM DICO

ק֖וֹל qō·wl a voice GRAM DICO

דְּמָמָ֥ה də·mā·māh still GRAM DICO

דַקָּֽה׃ ḏaq·qāh. small GRAM DICO

וַיְהִ֣י ׀ way·hî So it was GRAM DICO

כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ kiš·mō·a‘ when heard [it] GRAM DICO

אֵלִיָּ֗הוּ ’ê·lî·yā·hū, Elijah GRAM DICO

וַיָּ֤לֶט way·yā·leṭ that he wrapped GRAM DICO

פָּנָיו֙ pā·nāw his face GRAM DICO

בְּאַדַּרְתּ֔וֹ bə·’ad·dar·tōw, in his cloak GRAM DICO

､

וַיֵּצֵ֕א way·yê·ṣê and went out GRAM DICO

､

וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ and stood GRAM DICO

פֶּ֣תַח pe·ṯaḥ in the entrance GRAM DICO

הַמְּעָרָ֑ה ham·mə·‘ā·rāh; of the cave GRAM DICO

וְהִנֵּ֤ה wə·hin·nêh And suddenly GRAM DICO

､

אֵלָיו֙ ’ê·lāw to him GRAM DICO

ק֔וֹל qō·wl, a voice [came] GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֕אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO

､

מַה־ mah- what GRAM DICO

לְּךָ֥ lə·ḵā are you doing GRAM

פֹ֖ה p̄ōh here GRAM DICO

､

אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃ ’ê·lî·yā·hū. Elijah GRAM DICO

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ way·yō·mer and he said GRAM DICO

､

קַנֹּ֨א qan·nō very GRAM DICO

קִנֵּ֜אתִי qin·nê·ṯî I have been zealous GRAM DICO

לַיהוָ֣ה ׀ Yah·weh for Yahweh GRAM DICO

אֱלֹהֵ֣י ’ĕ·lō·hê God GRAM DICO

צְבָא֗וֹת ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ, of hosts GRAM DICO

–

כִּֽי־ kî- because GRAM DICO

עָזְב֤וּ ‘ā·zə·ḇū have forsaken GRAM DICO

בְרִֽיתְךָ֙ ḇə·rî·ṯə·ḵā Your covenant GRAM DICO

､

בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָ miz·bə·ḥō·ṯe·ḵā Your altars GRAM DICO

､

הָרָ֔סוּ hā·rā·sū, torn down GRAM DICO

וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO

נְבִיאֶ֖יךָ nə·ḇî·’e·ḵā Your prophets GRAM DICO

הָרְג֣וּ hā·rə·ḡū killed GRAM DICO

בֶחָ֑רֶב ḇe·ḥā·reḇ; with the sword GRAM DICO

–

וָאִוָּתֵ֤ר wā·’iw·wā·ṯêr and am left GRAM DICO

–

אֲנִי֙ ’ă·nî I GRAM DICO

､

לְבַדִּ֔י lə·ḇad·dî, alone GRAM DICO

､

וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ way·ḇaq·šū and they seek GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

נַפְשִׁ֖י nap̄·šî my life GRAM DICO

､

לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃ lə·qaḥ·tāh. to take GRAM DICO

לְדַרְכְּךָ֖ lə·ḏar·kə·ḵā on your way GRAM DICO

מִדְבַּ֣רָה miḏ·ba·rāh to the Wilderness GRAM DICO

דַמָּ֑שֶׂק‪‬ ḏam·mā·śeq; of Damascus GRAM DICO

､

וּבָ֗אתָ ū·ḇā·ṯā, and when you arrive GRAM DICO

､

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֧ ū·mā·šaḥ·tā and anoint GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

חֲזָאֵ֛ל ḥă·zā·’êl Hazael GRAM DICO

לְמֶ֖לֶךְ lə·me·leḵ [as] king GRAM DICO

עַל־ ‘al- over GRAM DICO

אֲרָֽם׃ ’ă·rām. Syria GRAM DICO

נִמְשִׁ֔י nim·šî, of Nimshi GRAM DICO

תִּמְשַׁ֥ח tim·šaḥ you shall anoint GRAM DICO

לְמֶ֖לֶךְ lə·me·leḵ [as] king GRAM DICO

עַל־ ‘al- over GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל yiś·rā·’êl; Israel GRAM DICO

–

וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO

אֱלִישָׁ֤ע ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ Elisha GRAM DICO

בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO

שָׁפָט֙ šā·p̄āṭ of Shaphat GRAM DICO

מֵאָבֵ֣ל mê·’ā·ḇêl of GRAM

מְחוֹלָ֔ה mə·ḥō·w·lāh, Abel Meholah GRAM DICO

תִּמְשַׁ֥ח tim·šaḥ you shall anoint GRAM DICO

לְנָבִ֖יא lə·nā·ḇî [as] prophet GRAM DICO

תַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃ taḥ·te·ḵā. in your place GRAM DICO
