וְהָעֹ֕מֶר wə·hā·‘ō·mer And an omer GRAM DICO
עֲשִׂרִ֥ית ‘ă·śi·rîṯ a tenth GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל yiś·rā·’êl of Israel GRAM DICO
מִמִּדְבַּר־ mim·miḏ·bar- from the Wilderness GRAM DICO
סִ֛ין sîn of Sin GRAM DICO
､
לְמַסְעֵיהֶ֖ם lə·mas·‘ê·hem on their journey GRAM DICO
､
עַל־ ‘al- according to GRAM DICO
פִּ֣י pî the commandment GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; of Yahweh GRAM DICO
､
וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ way·ya·ḥă·nū and camped GRAM DICO
בִּרְפִידִ֔ים bir·p̄î·ḏîm, in Rephidim GRAM DICO
､
וְאֵ֥ין wə·’ên but no GRAM DICO
מַ֖יִם ma·yim [there was] water GRAM DICO
לִשְׁתֹּ֥ת liš·tōṯ to drink GRAM DICO
הָעָֽם׃ hā·‘ām. for the people GRAM DICO

וַיָּ֤רֶב way·yā·reḇ Therefore contended GRAM DICO
הָעָם֙ hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
עִם־ ‘im- with GRAM DICO
מֹשֶׁ֔ה mō·šeh, Moses GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ way·yō·mə·rū, and said GRAM DICO
､
תְּנוּ־ tə·nū- Give GRAM DICO
לָ֥נוּ lā·nū us GRAM
מַ֖יִם ma·yim water GRAM DICO
וְנִשְׁתֶּ֑ה wə·niš·teh; that we may drink GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO
לָהֶם֙ lā·hem to them GRAM
מֹשֶׁ֔ה mō·šeh, Moses GRAM DICO

מַה־ mah- why GRAM DICO
תְּרִיבוּן֙ tə·rî·ḇūn you contend GRAM DICO
עִמָּדִ֔י ‘im·mā·ḏî, with me GRAM DICO
מַה־ mah- why GRAM DICO
؟
תְּנַסּ֖וּן tə·nas·sūn you tempt GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. Yahweh GRAM DICO

וַיִּצְמָ֨א way·yiṣ·mā and thirsted GRAM DICO
שָׁ֤ם šām there GRAM DICO
הָעָם֙ hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
לַמַּ֔יִם lam·ma·yim, for water GRAM DICO
–
וַיָּ֥לֶן way·yā·len and complained GRAM DICO
הָעָ֖ם hā·‘ām the people GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- against GRAM DICO
מֹשֶׁ֑ה mō·šeh; Moses GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר way·yō·mer, and said GRAM DICO
､
לָ֤מָּה lām·māh why GRAM DICO
זֶּה֙ zeh [is] this GRAM DICO
הֶעֱלִיתָ֣נוּ he·‘ĕ·lî·ṯā·nū you have brought us up GRAM DICO
מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם mim·miṣ·ra·yim, out of Egypt GRAM DICO
לְהָמִ֥ית lə·hā·mîṯ to kill GRAM DICO
אֹתִ֛י ’ō·ṯî us GRAM DICO
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
בָּנַ֥י bā·nay our children GRAM DICO
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
מִקְנַ֖י miq·nay our livestock GRAM DICO
בַּצָּמָֽא׃ baṣ·ṣā·mā. with thirst GRAM DICO

Exode 17, 4
וַיִּצְעַ֤ק way·yiṣ·‘aq so cried out GRAM DICO
מֹשֶׁה֙ mō·šeh Moses GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֣ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
､
לֵאמֹ֔ר lê·mōr, saying GRAM DICO
､
מָ֥ה māh what GRAM DICO
אֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה ’e·‘ĕ·śeh shall I do GRAM DICO
לָעָ֣ם lā·‘ām with people GRAM DICO
הַזֶּ֑ה haz·zeh; this GRAM DICO
؟
ע֥וֹד ‘ō·wḏ ready GRAM DICO
מְעַ֖ט mə·‘aṭ almost GRAM DICO
וּסְקָלֻֽנִי׃ ū·sə·qā·lu·nî. and they are to stone me GRAM DICO

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֜ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
מֹשֶׁ֗ה mō·šeh, Moses GRAM DICO
､
עֲבֹר֙ ‘ă·ḇōr go on GRAM DICO
לִפְנֵ֣י lip̄·nê before GRAM DICO
הָעָ֔ם hā·‘ām, the people GRAM DICO
､
וְקַ֥ח wə·qaḥ and take GRAM DICO
אִתְּךָ֖ ’it·tə·ḵā with you GRAM DICO
מִזִּקְנֵ֣י miz·ziq·nê some of the elders GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל yiś·rā·’êl; of Israel GRAM DICO
–
וּמַטְּךָ֗ ū·maṭ·ṭə·ḵā, and your rod GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֨ר ’ă·šer with which GRAM DICO
הִכִּ֤יתָ hik·kî·ṯā you GRAM DICO
בּוֹ֙ bōw struck GRAM
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַיְאֹ֔ר hay·’ōr, the Nile GRAM DICO
､
קַ֥ח qaḥ take GRAM DICO
בְּיָדְךָ֖ bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā in your hand GRAM DICO
､
וְהָלָֽכְתָּ׃ wə·hā·lā·ḵə·tā. and go GRAM DICO

הִנְנִ֣י hin·nî Behold GRAM DICO
עֹמֵד֩ ‘ō·mêḏ I will stand GRAM DICO
לְפָנֶ֨יךָ lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā before you GRAM DICO
שָּׁ֥ם ׀ šām there GRAM DICO
עַֽל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO
הַצּוּר֮ haṣ·ṣūr the rock GRAM DICO
בְּחֹרֵב֒ bə·ḥō·rêḇ in Horeb GRAM DICO
–
וְהִכִּ֣יתָ wə·hik·kî·ṯā and you shall strike GRAM DICO
בַצּ֗וּר ḇaṣ·ṣūr, the rock GRAM DICO
､
וְיָצְא֥וּ wə·yā·ṣə·’ū and will come GRAM DICO
מִמֶּ֛נּוּ mim·men·nū out of it GRAM DICO
מַ֖יִם ma·yim water GRAM DICO
､
וְשָׁתָ֣ה wə·šā·ṯāh that may drink GRAM DICO
הָעָ֑ם hā·‘ām; the people GRAM DICO

וַיַּ֤עַשׂ way·ya·‘aś Did GRAM DICO
כֵּן֙ kên so GRAM DICO
מֹשֶׁ֔ה mō·šeh, then Moses GRAM DICO
לְעֵינֵ֖י lə·‘ê·nê in the sight GRAM DICO
זִקְנֵ֥י ziq·nê of the elders GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ yiś·rā·’êl. of Israel GRAM DICO

וַיִּקְרָא֙ way·yiq·rā So he called GRAM DICO
שֵׁ֣ם šêm the name GRAM DICO
הַמָּק֔וֹם ham·mā·qō·wm, of the place GRAM DICO
מַסָּ֖ה mas·sāh Massah GRAM DICO
וּמְרִיבָ֑ה ū·mə·rî·ḇāh; and Meribah GRAM DICO
､
עַל־ ‘al- because GRAM DICO
רִ֣יב ׀ rîḇ of the contention GRAM DICO
בְּנֵ֣י bə·nê of the sons GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל yiś·rā·’êl, of Israel GRAM DICO
､
וְעַ֨ל wə·‘al and because GRAM DICO
נַסֹּתָ֤ם nas·sō·ṯām they tempted GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
､
לֵאמֹ֔ר lê·mōr, saying GRAM DICO
､
הֲיֵ֧שׁ hă·yêš is GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֛ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
בְּקִרְבֵּ֖נוּ bə·qir·bê·nū among us GRAM DICO
אִם־ ’im- or GRAM DICO
אָֽיִן׃ ’ā·yin. not GRAM DICO
