Genèse 4, 8

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר way·yō·mer And talked GRAM DICO

קַ֖יִן qa·yin Cain GRAM DICO

אֶל־ ’el- with GRAM DICO

הֶ֣בֶל he·ḇel Abel GRAM DICO

אָחִ֑יו ’ā·ḥîw; his brother GRAM DICO

–

וַֽיְהִי֙ way·hî and it came to pass GRAM DICO

､

בִּהְיוֹתָ֣ם bih·yō·w·ṯām when they were GRAM DICO

בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה baś·śā·ḏeh, in the field GRAM DICO

､

וַיָּ֥קָם way·yā·qām that rose up GRAM DICO

קַ֛יִן qa·yin Cain GRAM DICO

אֶל־ ’el- against GRAM DICO

הֶ֥בֶל he·ḇel Abel GRAM DICO

אָחִ֖יו ’ā·ḥîw his brother GRAM DICO

וַיַּהַרְגֵֽהוּ׃ way·ya·har·ḡê·hū. and killed him GRAM DICO

הֲשֹׁמֵ֥ר hă·šō·mêr Keeper GRAM DICO

אָחִ֖י ’ā·ḥî of my brother GRAM DICO

אָנֹֽכִי׃ ’ā·nō·ḵî. [am] I GRAM DICO

צֹעֲקִ֥ים ṣō·‘ă·qîm cries out GRAM DICO

אֵלַ֖י ’ê·lay to Me GRAM DICO

הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ hā·’ă·ḏā·māh. the ground GRAM DICO

וְעַתָּ֖ה wə·‘at·tāh so now GRAM DICO

אָר֣וּר ’ā·rūr [are] cursed GRAM DICO

אָ֑תָּה ’āt·tāh; you GRAM DICO

מִיָּדֶֽךָ׃ mî·yā·ḏe·ḵā. from your hand GRAM DICO

הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה hā·’ă·ḏā·māh, the ground GRAM DICO

לֹֽא־ lō- no GRAM DICO

תֹסֵ֥ף ṯō·sêp̄ it shall longer GRAM DICO

תֵּת־ têṯ- yield GRAM DICO

כֹּחָ֖הּ kō·ḥāh its strength GRAM DICO

לָ֑ךְ lāḵ; to you GRAM

–

נָ֥ע nā‘ a fugitive GRAM DICO

וָנָ֖ד wā·nāḏ and a wanderer GRAM DICO

תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה tih·yeh you shall be GRAM DICO

בָאָֽרֶץ׃ ḇā·’ā·reṣ. on the earth GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; Yahweh GRAM DICO

גָּד֥וֹל gā·ḏō·wl greater [is] GRAM DICO

עֲוֺנִ֖י ‘ă·wō·nî my punishment GRAM DICO

מִנְּשֹֽׂא׃ min·nə·śō. than I can bear GRAM DICO

הֵן֩ hên surely GRAM DICO

גֵּרַ֨שְׁתָּ gê·raš·tā You have driven out GRAM DICO

אֹתִ֜י ’ō·ṯî me GRAM DICO

הַיּ֗וֹם hay·yō·wm, today GRAM DICO

､

מֵעַל֙ mê·‘al from GRAM DICO

פְּנֵ֣י pə·nê the face GRAM DICO

הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה hā·’ă·ḏā·māh, of the ground GRAM DICO

–

וּמִפָּנֶ֖יךָ ū·mip·pā·ne·ḵā and from Your face GRAM DICO

אֶסָּתֵ֑ר ’es·sā·ṯêr; I shall be hidden GRAM DICO

–

וְהָיִ֜יתִי wə·hā·yî·ṯî and I shall be GRAM DICO

נָ֤ע nā‘ a fugitive GRAM DICO

וָנָד֙ wā·nāḏ and a wanderer GRAM DICO

בָּאָ֔רֶץ bā·’ā·reṣ, on the earth GRAM DICO

–

וְהָיָ֥ה wə·hā·yāh and it will come to pass [that] GRAM DICO

､

כָל־ ḵāl anyone GRAM DICO

מֹצְאִ֖י mō·ṣə·’î who finds me GRAM DICO

כָּל־ kāl- whoever GRAM DICO

הֹרֵ֣ג hō·rêḡ kills GRAM DICO

קַ֔יִן qa·yin, Cain GRAM DICO

､

שִׁבְעָתַ֖יִם šiḇ·‘ā·ṯa·yim sevenfold GRAM DICO

יֻקָּ֑ם yuq·qām; vengeance shall be taken on him GRAM DICO

וַיָּ֨שֶׂם way·yā·śem And set GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֤ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

לְקַ֙יִן֙ lə·qa·yin on Cain GRAM DICO

א֔וֹת ’ō·wṯ, a mark GRAM DICO

､

לְבִלְתִּ֥י lə·ḇil·tî lest GRAM DICO

הַכּוֹת־ hak·kō·wṯ- should kill GRAM DICO

אֹת֖וֹ ’ō·ṯōw him GRAM DICO

כָּל־ kāl- anyone GRAM DICO

מֹצְאֽוֹ׃ mō·ṣə·’ōw. finding him GRAM DICO

וַיֵּ֥צֵא way·yê·ṣê And went out GRAM DICO

קַ֖יִן qa·yin Cain GRAM DICO

מִלִּפְנֵ֣י mil·lip̄·nê from the presence GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; of Yahweh GRAM DICO

וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב way·yê·šeḇ and dwelt GRAM DICO

בְּאֶֽרֶץ־ bə·’e·reṣ- in the land GRAM DICO
