וַיַּ֨עַן way·ya·‘an But answered GRAM DICO
דָּוִ֜ד dā·wiḏ David GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
רֵכָ֣ב ׀ rê·ḵāḇ Rechab GRAM DICO
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
בַּעֲנָ֣ה ba·‘ă·nāh Baanah GRAM DICO
אָחִ֗יו ’ā·ḥîw, his brother GRAM DICO
､
בְּנֵ֛י bə·nê the sons GRAM DICO
רִמּ֥וֹן rim·mō·wn of Rimmon GRAM DICO
הַבְּאֵֽרֹתִ֖י hab·bə·’ê·rō·ṯî the Beerothite GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
לָהֶ֑ם lā·hem; to them GRAM
חַי־ ḥay- [As] lives GRAM DICO
､
יְהוָ֕ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- who GRAM DICO
פָּדָ֥ה pā·ḏāh has redeemed GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
נַפְשִׁ֖י nap̄·šî my life GRAM DICO
מִכָּל־ mik·kāl from all GRAM DICO
צָרָֽה׃ ṣā·rāh. adversity GRAM DICO

הַמַּגִּיד֩ ham·mag·gîḏ someone told GRAM DICO
לִ֨י lî me GRAM
לֵאמֹ֜ר lê·mōr saying GRAM DICO
､
הִנֵּה־ hin·nêh- Look GRAM DICO
､
מֵ֣ת mêṯ is dead GRAM DICO
､
שָׁא֗וּל šā·’ūl, Saul GRAM DICO
וְהֽוּא־ wə·hū- and he GRAM DICO
הָיָ֤ה hā·yāh to have GRAM DICO
כִמְבַשֵּׂר֙ ḵim·ḇaś·śêr brought good news GRAM DICO
､
בְּעֵינָ֔יו bə·‘ê·nāw, thought GRAM DICO
וָאֹחֲזָ֣ה wā·’ō·ḥă·zāh and I arrested GRAM DICO
ב֔וֹ ḇōw, him GRAM
וָאֶהְרְגֵ֖הוּ wā·’eh·rə·ḡê·hū and had him executed GRAM DICO
בְּצִֽקְלָ֑ג bə·ṣiq·lāḡ; in Ziklag GRAM DICO
､
אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer the one who GRAM DICO
לְתִתִּי־ lə·ṯit·tî- [thought] I would give a reward GRAM DICO
ל֖וֹ lōw him GRAM
בְּשֹׂרָֽה׃ bə·śō·rāh. for [his] news GRAM DICO

אַ֞ף ’ap̄ how much more GRAM DICO
､
כִּֽי־ kî- when GRAM DICO
אֲנָשִׁ֣ים ’ă·nā·šîm men GRAM DICO
רְשָׁעִ֗ים rə·šā·‘îm, wicked GRAM DICO
הָרְג֧וּ hā·rə·ḡū have killed GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
אִישׁ־ ’îš- a person GRAM DICO
צַדִּ֛יק ṣad·dîq righteous GRAM DICO
בְּבֵית֖וֹ bə·ḇê·ṯōw in his own house GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO
מִשְׁכָּב֑וֹ miš·kā·ḇōw; his bed GRAM DICO
؟
וְעַתָּ֗ה wə·‘at·tāh, therefore now GRAM DICO
הֲל֨וֹא hă·lō·w shall not GRAM DICO
אֲבַקֵּ֤שׁ ’ă·ḇaq·qêš I require GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
דָּמוֹ֙ dā·mōw his blood GRAM DICO
מִיֶּדְכֶ֔ם mî·yeḏ·ḵem, at your hand GRAM DICO
､
וּבִעַרְתִּ֥י ū·ḇi·‘ar·tî and remove GRAM DICO
אֶתְכֶ֖ם ’eṯ·ḵem you GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
､
הָאָֽרֶץ׃ hā·’ā·reṣ. the earth GRAM DICO

וַיְצַו֩ way·ṣaw so commanded GRAM DICO
דָּוִ֨ד dā·wiḏ David GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַנְּעָרִ֜ים han·nə·‘ā·rîm his young men GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּהַרְג֗וּם way·ya·har·ḡūm, and they executed them GRAM DICO
וַֽיְקַצְּצ֤וּ way·qaṣ·ṣə·ṣū and cut off GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יְדֵיהֶם֙ yə·ḏê·hem their hands GRAM DICO
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם raḡ·lê·hem, feet GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּתְל֥וּ way·yiṯ·lū and hanged [them] GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- by GRAM DICO
הַבְּרֵכָ֖ה hab·bə·rê·ḵāh the pool GRAM DICO
בְּחֶבְר֑וֹן bə·ḥeḇ·rō·wn; in Hebron GRAM DICO

וְאֵ֨ת wə·’êṯ But GRAM DICO
רֹ֤אשׁ rōš the head GRAM DICO
אִֽישׁ־ ’îš- of
בֹּ֙שֶׁת֙ bō·šeṯ Ishbosheth GRAM DICO
､
לָקָ֔חוּ lā·qā·ḥū, they took GRAM DICO
וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ way·yiq·bə·rū and buried [it] GRAM DICO
בְקֶֽבֶר־ ḇə·qe·ḇer- in the tomb GRAM DICO
אַבְנֵ֖ר ’aḇ·nêr of Abner GRAM DICO
בְּחֶבְרֽוֹן׃ bə·ḥeḇ·rō·wn. in Hebron GRAM DICO

יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל yiś·rā·’êl of Israel GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
דָּוִ֖ד dā·wiḏ David GRAM DICO
חֶבְר֑וֹנָה ḥeḇ·rō·w·nāh; at Hebron GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ way·yō·mə·rū and spoke GRAM DICO
､
לֵאמֹ֔ר lê·mōr, saying GRAM DICO
､
הִנְנ֛וּ hin·nū indeed GRAM DICO
עַצְמְךָ֥ ‘aṣ·mə·ḵā your bone GRAM DICO
וּֽבְשָׂרְךָ֖ ū·ḇə·śā·rə·ḵā and your flesh GRAM DICO
אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃ ’ă·nā·ḥə·nū. we [are] GRAM DICO

מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ me·leḵ king GRAM DICO
עָלֵ֔ינוּ ‘ā·lê·nū, over us GRAM DICO
אַתָּ֗ה ’at·tāh, you GRAM DICO
[הייתה] hā·yî·ṯāh  -  GRAM
(הָיִ֛יתָ) hā·yî·ṯā were the one GRAM DICO
[מוציא] mō·w·ṣî  -  GRAM
(הַמּוֹצִ֥יא) ham·mō·w·ṣî who led out GRAM DICO
[והמבי] wə·ham·mê·ḇî  -  GRAM
(וְהַמֵּבִ֖יא) wə·ham·mê·ḇî and brought them in GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל yiś·rā·’êl; Israel GRAM DICO
–
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֜ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
לְךָ֗ lə·ḵā, to you GRAM
אַתָּ֨ה ’at·tāh You GRAM DICO
תִרְעֶ֤ה ṯir·‘eh shall shepherd GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
עַמִּי֙ ‘am·mî My people GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiś·rā·’êl, Israel GRAM DICO
､
וְאַתָּ֛ה wə·’at·tāh and you GRAM DICO
תִּהְיֶ֥ה tih·yeh be GRAM DICO
לְנָגִ֖יד lə·nā·ḡîḏ ruler GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- over GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ yiś·rā·’êl. Israel GRAM DICO
