וַיָּכִ֤ינוּ way·yā·ḵî·nū And they set GRAM DICO
הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ ham·miz·bê·aḥ the altar GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO
מְכ֣וֹנֹתָ֔יו mə·ḵō·w·nō·ṯāw, its bases GRAM DICO
–
כִּ֚י kî Though GRAM DICO
בְּאֵימָ֣ה bə·’ê·māh fear [had come] GRAM DICO
עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם ‘ă·lê·hem, upon them GRAM DICO
מֵעַמֵּ֖י mê·‘am·mê because of the people GRAM DICO
הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ; of those countries GRAM DICO
–
[ויעל] way·ya·‘al  -  GRAM
(וַיַּעֲל֨וּ‪‬) way·ya·‘ă·lū and they offered GRAM DICO
עָלָ֤יו ‘ā·lāw on it GRAM DICO
עֹלוֹת֙ ‘ō·lō·wṯ burnt offerings GRAM DICO
לַֽיהוָ֔ה Yah·weh, to Yahweh GRAM DICO
､
עֹל֖וֹת ‘ō·lō·wṯ [both] burnt offerings GRAM DICO
לַבֹּ֥קֶר lab·bō·qer the morning GRAM DICO
וְלָעָֽרֶב׃ wə·lā·‘ā·reḇ. and evening GRAM DICO

וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֛וּ way·ya·‘ă·śū And they kept GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
חַ֥ג ḥaḡ the Feast GRAM DICO
הַסֻּכּ֖וֹת has·suk·kō·wṯ of Tabernacles GRAM DICO
､
כַּכָּת֑וּב kak·kā·ṯūḇ; as [it is] written GRAM DICO
､
וְעֹלַ֨ת wə·‘ō·laṯ and [offered] the burnt offerings GRAM DICO
י֤וֹם yō·wm of every day GRAM DICO
בְּיוֹם֙ bə·yō·wm daily GRAM DICO
בְּמִסְפָּ֔ר bə·mis·pār, in the number GRAM DICO
､
כְּמִשְׁפַּ֖ט kə·miš·paṭ ordinance GRAM DICO
､
דְּבַר־ də·ḇar- duty GRAM DICO
י֥וֹם yō·wm of every day GRAM DICO
בְּיוֹמֽוֹ׃ bə·yō·w·mōw. for each day GRAM DICO

וְאַחֲרֵיכֵ֞ן wə·’a·ḥă·rê·ḵên And Afterwards GRAM DICO
עֹלַ֤ת ‘ō·laṯ [they offered] the burnt offering GRAM DICO
､
תָּמִיד֙ tā·mîḏ regular GRAM DICO
וְלֶ֣חֳדָשִׁ֔ים wə·le·ḥo·ḏā·šîm, and [those] for New Moons GRAM DICO
､
וּלְכָל־ ū·lə·ḵāl- for all GRAM DICO
מוֹעֲדֵ֥י mō·w·‘ă·ḏê the appointed feasts GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh of Yahweh GRAM DICO
הַמְקֻדָּשִׁ֑ים ham·qud·dā·šîm; that were consecrated GRAM DICO
､
וּלְכֹ֛ל ū·lə·ḵōl and [those] of everyone GRAM DICO
מִתְנַדֵּ֥ב miṯ·nad·dêḇ who willingly offered GRAM DICO
נְדָבָ֖ה nə·ḏā·ḇāh a freewill offering GRAM DICO
לַיהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. to Yahweh GRAM DICO

מִיּ֤וֹם mî·yō·wm From the day GRAM DICO
אֶחָד֙ ’e·ḥāḏ first GRAM DICO
לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ la·ḥō·ḏeš of the month GRAM DICO
הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י haš·šə·ḇî·‘î, seventh GRAM DICO
הֵחֵ֕לּוּ hê·ḥêl·lū they began GRAM DICO
לְהַעֲל֥וֹת lə·ha·‘ă·lō·wṯ to offer GRAM DICO
עֹל֖וֹת ‘ō·lō·wṯ burnt offerings GRAM DICO
לַיהוָ֑ה Yah·weh; to Yahweh GRAM DICO
וְהֵיכַ֥ל wə·hê·ḵal and although of the temple GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh of Yahweh GRAM DICO
לֹ֥א lō not GRAM DICO
יֻסָּֽד׃ yus·sāḏ. the foundation had been laid GRAM DICO

וַיִּ֨תְּנוּ־ way·yit·tə·nū- And they gave GRAM DICO
כֶ֔סֶף ḵe·sep̄, money GRAM DICO
לַחֹצְבִ֖ים la·ḥō·ṣə·ḇîm to the masons GRAM DICO
､
וְלֶחָרָשִׁ֑ים wə·le·ḥā·rā·šîm; and the carpenters GRAM DICO
–
וּמַאֲכָ֨ל ū·ma·’ă·ḵāl and food GRAM DICO
､
וּמִשְׁתֶּ֜ה ū·miš·teh and drink GRAM DICO
､
וָשֶׁ֗מֶן wā·še·men, and oil GRAM DICO
､
לַצִּֽדֹנִים֙ laṣ·ṣi·ḏō·nîm to the Sidonians GRAM DICO
､
וְלַצֹּרִ֔ים wə·laṣ·ṣō·rîm, and Tyre GRAM DICO
､
לְהָבִיא֩ lə·hā·ḇî to bring GRAM DICO
עֲצֵ֨י ‘ă·ṣê logs GRAM DICO
אֲרָזִ֤ים ’ă·rā·zîm cedar GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הַלְּבָנוֹן֙ hal·lə·ḇā·nō·wn Lebanon GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
יָ֣ם yām the sea to GRAM DICO
יָפ֔וֹא yā·p̄ō·w, Joppa GRAM DICO
､
כְּרִשְׁי֛וֹן kə·riš·yō·wn according to the permission from GRAM DICO
כּ֥וֹרֶשׁ kō·w·reš Cyrus GRAM DICO
מֶֽלֶךְ־ me·leḵ- king GRAM DICO

לִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם lî·rū·šā·lim, at Jerusalem GRAM DICO

בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ ba·ḥō·ḏeš of the month GRAM DICO

הַשֵּׁנִ֑י haš·šê·nî; second GRAM DICO
הֵחֵ֡לּוּ hê·ḥêl·lū began [work] GRAM DICO
זְרֻבָּבֶ֣ל zə·rub·bā·ḇel Zerubbabel GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ be·nōš- son GRAM DICO
שְׁ֠אַלְתִּיאֵל ’al·tî·’êl of Shealtiel GRAM DICO

וְיֵשׁ֨וּעַ wə·yê·šū·a‘ and Jeshua GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
יֽוֹצָדָ֜ק yō·w·ṣā·ḏāq of Jozadak GRAM DICO
､
וּשְׁאָ֥ר ū·šə·’ār and the rest GRAM DICO
אֲחֵיהֶ֣ם ׀ ’ă·ḥê·hem of their brothers GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים hak·kō·hă·nîm the priests GRAM DICO
וְהַלְוִיִּ֗ם wə·hal·wî·yim, and the Levites GRAM DICO
､
וְכָל־ wə·ḵāl and all GRAM DICO
הַבָּאִים֙ hab·bā·’îm those who had come GRAM DICO
מֵהַשְּׁבִ֣י mê·haš·šə·ḇî out of the captivity GRAM DICO
יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם yə·rū·šā·lim, to Jerusalem GRAM DICO
–
וַיַּעֲמִ֣ידוּ way·ya·‘ă·mî·ḏū and appointed GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
הַלְוִיִּ֗ם hal·wî·yim, the Levites GRAM DICO
､
מִבֶּ֨ן mib·ben from old GRAM DICO
עֶשְׂרִ֤ים ‘eś·rîm twenty GRAM DICO
שָׁנָה֙ šā·nāh years GRAM DICO
וָמַ֔עְלָה wā·ma‘·lāh, and above GRAM DICO
､
לְנַצֵּ֖חַ lə·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ to oversee GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- upon GRAM DICO
מְלֶ֥אכֶת mə·le·ḵeṯ the work GRAM DICO
בֵּית־ bêṯ- of the house GRAM DICO
יְהוָֽה׃ Yah·weh. of Yahweh GRAM DICO
