וַיְהִ֕י way·hî And it came to pass GRAM DICO
､
כְּהִשָּׁפֵ֥ט kə·hiš·šā·p̄êṭ when was executing judgment GRAM DICO
יֵה֖וּא yê·hū Jehu GRAM DICO
עִם־ ‘im- on GRAM DICO
בֵּ֣ית bêṯ the house GRAM DICO
אַחְאָ֑ב ’aḥ·’āḇ; of Ahab GRAM DICO
､
וַיִּמְצָא֩ way·yim·ṣā and found GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
שָׂרֵ֨י śā·rê the princes GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֜ה yə·hū·ḏāh of Judah GRAM DICO
､
וּבְנֵ֨י ū·ḇə·nê and the sons GRAM DICO
אֲחֵ֧י ’ă·ḥê of brothers GRAM DICO
אֲחַזְיָ֛הוּ ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū of Ahaziah GRAM DICO
､
מְשָׁרְתִ֥ים mə·šā·rə·ṯîm who served GRAM DICO
לַאֲחַזְיָ֖הוּ la·’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū Ahaziah GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּהַרְגֵֽם׃ way·ya·har·ḡêm. that he killed them GRAM DICO

וַיְבַקֵּשׁ֩ way·ḇaq·qêš And he searched for GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
אֲחַזְיָ֨הוּ ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū Ahaziah GRAM DICO
､
וַֽיִּלְכְּדֻ֜הוּ way·yil·kə·ḏu·hū and they caught him GRAM DICO
וְה֧וּא wə·hū and he GRAM DICO
מִתְחַבֵּ֣א miṯ·ḥab·bê was hiding GRAM DICO
בְשֹֽׁמְר֗וֹן ḇə·šō·mə·rō·wn, in Samaria GRAM DICO
וַיְבִאֻ֣הוּ way·ḇi·’u·hū and brought him GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
יֵהוּא֮ yê·hū Jehu GRAM DICO
､
וַיְמִתֻהוּ֒ way·mi·ṯu·hū and when they had killed him GRAM DICO
וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֔הוּ way·yiq·bə·ru·hū, and they buried him GRAM DICO
כִּ֤י kî because GRAM DICO
､
אָֽמְרוּ֙ ’ā·mə·rū they said GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- the son GRAM DICO
יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ of Jehoshaphat GRAM DICO
､
ה֔וּא hū, he [is] GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- who GRAM DICO
דָּרַ֥שׁ dā·raš sought GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
בְּכָל־ bə·ḵāl with all GRAM DICO
לְבָב֑וֹ lə·ḇā·ḇōw; his heart GRAM DICO
.
וְאֵין֙ wə·’ên So had no one GRAM DICO
לְבֵ֣ית lə·ḇêṯ the house GRAM DICO
אֲחַזְיָ֔הוּ ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū, of Ahaziah GRAM DICO
לַעְצֹ֥ר la‘·ṣōr to assume GRAM DICO
כֹּ֖חַ kō·aḥ power GRAM DICO
לְמַמְלָכָֽה׃ lə·mam·lā·ḵāh. over the kingdom GRAM DICO

וַעֲתַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ wa·‘ă·ṯal·yā·hū And when Athaliah GRAM DICO
אֵ֣ם ’êm the mother GRAM DICO
אֲחַזְיָ֔הוּ ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū, of Ahaziah GRAM DICO
רָאֲתָ֖ה rā·’ă·ṯāh saw GRAM DICO
כִּ֣י kî that GRAM DICO
מֵ֣ת mêṯ was dead GRAM DICO
､
בְּנָ֑הּ bə·nāh; her son GRAM DICO
וַתָּ֗קָם wat·tā·qām, and she arose GRAM DICO
וַתְּדַבֵּ֛ר wat·tə·ḏab·bêr and destroyed GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
כָּל־ kāl- all GRAM DICO
זֶ֥רַע ze·ra‘ the heirs GRAM DICO
הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה ham·mam·lā·ḵāh royal GRAM DICO
לְבֵ֥ית lə·ḇêṯ of the house GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָֽה׃ yə·hū·ḏāh. of Judah GRAM DICO

וַתִּקַּח֩ wat·tiq·qaḥ But took GRAM DICO
יְהוֹשַׁבְעַ֨ת yə·hō·wō·šaḇ·‘aṯ Jehoshabeath GRAM DICO
､
בַּת־ baṯ- the daughter GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ of the king GRAM DICO
､
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יוֹאָ֣שׁ yō·w·’āš Joash GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
אֲחַזְיָ֗הוּ ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū, of Ahaziah GRAM DICO
､
וַתִּגְנֹ֤ב wat·tiḡ·nōḇ and stole away GRAM DICO
אֹתוֹ֙ ’ō·ṯōw him GRAM DICO
מִתּ֤וֹךְ mit·tō·wḵ from among GRAM DICO
בְּנֵֽי־ bə·nê- sons GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ ham·me·leḵ of the king GRAM DICO
הַמּ֣וּמָתִ֔ים ham·mū·mā·ṯîm, who were being murdered GRAM DICO
､
וַתִּתֵּ֥ן wat·tit·tên and put GRAM DICO
אֹת֛וֹ ’ō·ṯōw him GRAM DICO
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
מֵֽינִקְתּ֖וֹ mê·niq·tōw his nurse GRAM DICO
בַּחֲדַ֣ר ba·ḥă·ḏar in GRAM DICO
הַמִּטּ֑וֹת ham·miṭ·ṭō·wṯ; a bedroom GRAM DICO
.
וַתַּסְתִּירֵ֡הוּ wat·tas·tî·rê·hū So hid him GRAM DICO
יְהוֹשַׁבְעַ֣ת yə·hō·wō·šaḇ·‘aṯ Jehoshabeath GRAM DICO
､
בַּת־ baṯ- the daughter GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ of King GRAM DICO
יְהוֹרָ֡ם yə·hō·w·rām Joram GRAM DICO
､
אֵשֶׁת֩ ’ê·šeṯ the wife GRAM DICO
יְהוֹיָדָ֨ע yə·hō·w·yā·ḏā‘ of Jehoiada GRAM DICO
הַכֹּהֵ֜ן hak·kō·hên the priest GRAM DICO
､
כִּ֣י kî for GRAM DICO
הִיא֩ hî she GRAM DICO
הָיְתָ֨ה hā·yə·ṯāh was GRAM DICO
אֲח֧וֹת ’ă·ḥō·wṯ the sister GRAM DICO
אֲחַזְיָ֛הוּ ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū of Ahaziah GRAM DICO
מִפְּנֵ֥י mip·pə·nê from GRAM DICO
עֲתַלְיָ֖הוּ ‘ă·ṯal·yā·hū Athaliah GRAM DICO
､
וְלֹ֥א wə·lō so that not GRAM DICO
הֱמִיתָֽתְהוּ׃ hĕ·mî·ṯā·ṯə·hū. she did kill him GRAM DICO

וַיְהִ֤י way·hî And he was GRAM DICO
אִתָּם֙ ’it·tām with them GRAM DICO
בְּבֵ֣ית bə·ḇêṯ in the house GRAM DICO
הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm, of God GRAM DICO
מִתְחַבֵּ֖א miṯ·ḥab·bê hidden GRAM DICO
שֵׁ֣שׁ šêš six GRAM DICO
שָׁנִ֖ים šā·nîm for years GRAM DICO
–
וַעֲתַלְיָ֖ה wa·‘ă·ṯal·yāh and while Athaliah GRAM DICO
מֹלֶ֥כֶת mō·le·ḵeṯ reigned GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- over GRAM DICO
הָאָֽרֶץ׃ hā·’ā·reṣ. the land GRAM DICO

שָׂרֵ֣י śā·rê the captains GRAM DICO
הַמֵּא֡וֹת ham·mê·’ō·wṯ of hundreds GRAM DICO
､
לַעֲזַרְיָ֣הוּ la·‘ă·zar·yā·hū Azariah GRAM DICO
בֶן־ ḇen- son GRAM DICO
יְרֹחָ֡ם yə·rō·ḥām of Jeroham GRAM DICO
､
וּלְיִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל ū·lə·yiš·mā·‘êl and Ishmael GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
יְ֠הוֹחָנָן yə·hō·w·ḥā·nān of Jehohanan GRAM DICO
､
וְלַֽעֲזַרְיָ֨הוּ wə·la·‘ă·zar·yā·hū and Azariah GRAM DICO
בֶן־ ḇen- son GRAM DICO
עוֹבֵ֜ד ‘ō·w·ḇêḏ of Obed GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
מַעֲשֵׂיָ֧הוּ ma·‘ă·śê·yā·hū Maaseiah GRAM DICO
בֶן־ ḇen- son GRAM DICO
עֲדָיָ֛הוּ ‘ă·ḏā·yā·hū of Adaiah GRAM DICO
､
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
אֱלִישָׁפָ֥ט ’ĕ·lî·šā·p̄āṭ Elishaphat GRAM DICO
בֶּן־ ben- son GRAM DICO
זִכְרִ֖י ziḵ·rî of Zichri GRAM DICO
､
עִמּ֥וֹ ‘im·mōw with GRAM DICO
בַבְּרִֽית׃ ḇab·bə·rîṯ. [and made a] covenant GRAM DICO
