הִ֠נֵּה hin·nêh Look GRAM DICO
､
יָ֤רְדָה yā·rə·ḏāh has come down GRAM DICO
אֵשׁ֙ ’êš fire GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם haš·šā·ma·yim, heaven GRAM DICO
､
וַ֠תֹּאכַל wat·tō·ḵal and burned up GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
שְׁנֵ֞י šə·nê two GRAM DICO
שָׂרֵ֧י śā·rê the captains GRAM DICO
הַחֲמִשִּׁ֛ים ha·ḥă·miš·šîm of fifty GRAM DICO
הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים hā·ri·šō·nîm first GRAM DICO
וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- and GRAM DICO
חֲמִשֵּׁיהֶ֑ם ḥă·miš·šê·hem; [with] their fifty GRAM DICO
–
וְעַתָּ֕ה wə·‘at·tāh but now GRAM DICO
תִּיקַ֥ר tî·qar let be precious GRAM DICO
נַפְשִׁ֖י nap̄·šî my life GRAM DICO
בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā. in your sight GRAM DICO

וַיְדַבֵּ֞ר way·ḏab·bêr And said GRAM DICO
מַלְאַ֤ךְ mal·’aḵ the angel of GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ ’ê·lî·yā·hū, Elijah GRAM DICO
､
רֵ֣ד rêḏ go down GRAM DICO
אוֹת֔וֹ ’ō·w·ṯōw, with him GRAM DICO
אַל־ ’al- not GRAM DICO
תִּירָ֖א tî·rā do be afraid GRAM DICO
מִפָּנָ֑יו mip·pā·nāw; of him GRAM DICO
וַיָּ֛קָם way·yā·qām so he arose GRAM DICO
､
וַיֵּ֥רֶד way·yê·reḏ and went down GRAM DICO
אוֹת֖וֹ ’ō·w·ṯōw with him GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ ham·me·leḵ. the king GRAM DICO

וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר way·ḏab·bêr And he said GRAM DICO
אֵלָ֜יו ’ê·lāw to him GRAM DICO
כֹּֽה־ kōh- thus GRAM DICO
אָמַ֣ר ’ā·mar says GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֗ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

יַ֜עַן ya·‘an because GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- that GRAM DICO
שָׁלַ֣חְתָּ šā·laḥ·tā you have sent GRAM DICO
מַלְאָכִים֮ mal·’ā·ḵîm messengers GRAM DICO
לִדְרֹשׁ֮ liḏ·rōš to inquire GRAM DICO
בְּבַ֣עַל bə·ḇa·‘al of GRAM
זְבוּב֮ zə·ḇūḇ Baal-Zebub GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהֵ֣י ’ĕ·lō·hê the god GRAM DICO
עֶקְרוֹן֒ ‘eq·rō·wn of Ekron GRAM DICO
､
הַֽמִבְּלִ֤י ha·mib·bə·lî [is it] because GRAM DICO
אֵין־ ’ên- [there is] no GRAM DICO
אֱלֹהִים֙ ’ĕ·lō·hîm God GRAM DICO
בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל bə·yiś·rā·’êl, in Israel GRAM DICO
לִדְרֹ֖שׁ liḏ·rōš to inquire GRAM DICO
בִּדְבָר֑וֹ biḏ·ḇā·rōw; of His word GRAM DICO
؟
לָ֠כֵן lā·ḵên therefore GRAM DICO
הַמִּטָּ֞ה ham·miṭ·ṭāh the bed GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- to which GRAM DICO
עָלִ֥יתָ ‘ā·lî·ṯā you have gone up GRAM DICO
､
שָּׁ֛ם šām on that GRAM DICO
לֹֽא־ lō- not GRAM DICO
תֵרֵ֥ד ṯê·rêḏ you shall come down GRAM DICO
מִמֶּ֖נָּה mim·men·nāh from GRAM DICO
כִּֽי־ kî- but GRAM DICO
מ֥וֹת mō·wṯ surely GRAM DICO
תָּמֽוּת׃ tā·mūṯ. you shall die GRAM DICO

וַיָּ֜מָת way·yā·māṯ So [Ahaziah] died GRAM DICO
כִּדְבַ֥ר kiḏ·ḇar according to the word GRAM DICO
יְהוָ֣ה ׀ Yah·weh of Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- which GRAM DICO
דִּבֶּ֣ר dib·ber had spoken GRAM DICO

אֵלִיָּ֗הוּ ’ê·lî·yā·hū, Elijah GRAM DICO
וַיִּמְלֹ֤ךְ way·yim·lōḵ and became king GRAM DICO
יְהוֹרָם֙ yə·hō·w·rām Jehoram GRAM DICO
תַּחְתָּ֔יו taḥ·tāw, in his place GRAM DICO

בִּשְׁנַ֣ת biš·naṯ in the year GRAM DICO
שְׁתַּ֔יִם šə·ta·yim, second GRAM DICO
לִיהוֹרָ֥ם lî·hō·w·rām of Joram GRAM DICO

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ of Jehoshaphat GRAM DICO
מֶ֣לֶךְ me·leḵ king GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֑ה yə·hū·ḏāh; of Judah GRAM DICO

עָשָׂ֑ה ‘ā·śāh; he did GRAM DICO
הֲלֽוֹא־ hă·lō·w- [are] not GRAM DICO
הֵ֣מָּה hêm·māh they GRAM DICO
כְתוּבִ֗ים ḵə·ṯū·ḇîm, written GRAM DICO
עַל־ ‘al- in GRAM DICO
סֵ֛פֶר sê·p̄er the book GRAM DICO
דִּבְרֵ֥י diḇ·rê of GRAM DICO
הַיָּמִ֖ים hay·yā·mîm the chronicles GRAM DICO
לְמַלְכֵ֥י lə·mal·ḵê of the kings GRAM DICO
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ yiś·rā·’êl. of Israel GRAM DICO

וַיְהִ֗י way·hî, and it came to pass GRAM DICO

בְּהַעֲל֤וֹת bə·ha·‘ă·lō·wṯ when was about to take up GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ ’ê·lî·yā·hū, Elijah GRAM DICO
בַּֽסְעָרָ֖ה bas·‘ā·rāh by a whirlwind GRAM DICO
､
הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם haš·šā·mā·yim; into heaven GRAM DICO
וַיֵּ֧לֶךְ way·yê·leḵ that went GRAM DICO
אֵלִיָּ֛הוּ ’ê·lî·yā·hū Elijah GRAM DICO
וֶאֱלִישָׁ֖ע we·’ĕ·lî·šā‘ and with Elisha GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הַגִּלְגָּֽל׃ hag·gil·gāl. Gilgal GRAM DICO

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ way·yō·mer And said GRAM DICO
אֵלִיָּ֨הוּ ’ê·lî·yā·hū Elijah GRAM DICO
אֶל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
אֱלִישָׁ֜ע ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ Elisha GRAM DICO
､
שֵֽׁב־ šêḇ- Stay GRAM DICO
נָ֣א nā please GRAM DICO
–
פֹ֗ה p̄ōh, here GRAM DICO
､
כִּ֤י kî for GRAM DICO
יְהוָה֙ Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
שְׁלָחַ֣נִי šə·lā·ḥa·nî has sent me GRAM DICO
עַד־ ‘aḏ- on to GRAM DICO
בֵּֽית־ bêṯ- in GRAM
אֵ֔ל ’êl, Bethel GRAM DICO
.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer But said GRAM DICO
אֱלִישָׁ֔ע ’ĕ·lî·šā‘, Elisha GRAM DICO
חַי־ ḥay- [As] lives GRAM DICO
､
יְהוָ֥ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO
וְחֵֽי־ wə·ḥê- and [as] lives GRAM DICO
､
נַפְשְׁךָ֖ nap̄·šə·ḵā your soul GRAM DICO
אִם־ ’im- not GRAM DICO
אֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ ’e·‘ez·ḇe·kā; I will leave you GRAM DICO
וַיֵּרְד֖וּ way·yê·rə·ḏū so they went down GRAM DICO
בֵּֽית־ bêṯ- to GRAM
אֵֽל׃ ’êl. Bethel GRAM DICO
