וַיָּשָׁב֩ way·yā·šāḇ But had returned GRAM DICO
יְהוֹרָ֨ם yə·hō·w·rām Jehoram GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ King GRAM DICO
לְהִתְרַפֵּ֣א lə·hiṯ·rap·pê to recover GRAM DICO
בִיְזְרְעֶ֗אל ḇiy·zə·rə·‘el, to Jezreel GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הַמַּכִּים֙ ham·mak·kîm the wounds GRAM DICO
אֲשֶׁ֣ר ’ă·šer which GRAM DICO
יַכֻּ֣הוּ yak·ku·hū had inflicted on him GRAM DICO
אֲרַמִּ֔ים ’ă·ram·mîm, the Syrians GRAM DICO
בְּהִלָּ֣חֲמ֔וֹ bə·hil·lā·ḥă·mōw, when he fought GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ- with GRAM DICO
חֲזָאֵ֖ל ḥă·zā·’êl Hazael GRAM DICO
מֶ֣לֶךְ me·leḵ king GRAM DICO
אֲרָ֑ם ’ă·rām; of Syria GRAM DICO
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
יֵהוּא֙ yê·hū Jehu GRAM DICO
אִם־ ’im- if GRAM DICO
יֵ֣שׁ yêš it be GRAM DICO
נַפְשְׁכֶ֔ם nap̄·šə·ḵem, you are so minded GRAM DICO
､
אַל־ ’al- no GRAM DICO
יֵצֵ֤א yê·ṣê let one leave GRAM DICO
פָלִיט֙ p̄ā·lîṭ [or] escape GRAM DICO
מִן־ min- from GRAM DICO
הָעִ֔יר hā·‘îr, the city GRAM DICO
לָלֶ֖כֶת lā·le·ḵeṯ to go GRAM DICO
[לגיד] lə·gîḏ  -  GRAM
(לְהַגִּ֥יד) lə·hag·gîḏ and tell [it] GRAM DICO
בְּיִזְרְעֶֽאל׃ bə·yiz·rə·‘el. in Jezreel GRAM DICO

וַיִּרְכַּ֤ב way·yir·kaḇ So rode in a chariot GRAM DICO
､
יֵהוּא֙ yê·hū Jehu GRAM DICO
וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ way·yê·leḵ and went GRAM DICO
יִזְרְעֶ֔אלָה yiz·rə·‘e·lāh, to Jezreel GRAM DICO
–
כִּ֥י kî for GRAM DICO
יוֹרָ֖ם yō·w·rām Jehoram GRAM DICO
שֹׁכֵ֣ב šō·ḵêḇ was laid up GRAM DICO
שָׁ֑מָּה šām·māh; there GRAM DICO
.
וַֽאֲחַזְיָה֙ wa·’ă·ḥaz·yāh And Ahaziah GRAM DICO
מֶ֣לֶךְ me·leḵ king GRAM DICO
יְהוּדָ֔ה yə·hū·ḏāh, of Judah GRAM DICO
יָרַ֖ד yā·raḏ had come down GRAM DICO
לִרְא֥וֹת lir·’ō·wṯ to see GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
יוֹרָֽם׃ yō·w·rām. Jehoram GRAM DICO

וְהַצֹּפֶה֩ wə·haṣ·ṣō·p̄eh Now a watchman GRAM DICO
עֹמֵ֨ד ‘ō·mêḏ stood GRAM DICO
עַֽל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO
הַמִּגְדָּ֜ל ham·miḡ·dāl the tower GRAM DICO
בְּיִזְרְעֶ֗אל bə·yiz·rə·‘el, in Jezreel GRAM DICO
､
וַיַּ֞רְא way·yar and he saw GRAM DICO
אֶת־ ’eṯ-  -  GRAM DICO
שִׁפְעַ֤ת šip̄·‘aṯ the company GRAM DICO
יֵהוּא֙ yê·hū of Jehu GRAM DICO
בְּבֹא֔וֹ bə·ḇō·’ōw, as he came GRAM DICO
､
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
שִׁפְעַ֖ת šip̄·‘aṯ a company of [men] GRAM DICO
.
אֲנִ֣י ’ă·nî I GRAM DICO
רֹאֶ֑ה rō·’eh; see GRAM DICO
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
יְהוֹרָ֗ם yə·hō·w·rām, Jehoram GRAM DICO
קַ֥ח qaḥ Get GRAM DICO
רַכָּ֛ב rak·kāḇ a horseman GRAM DICO
､
וּֽשְׁלַ֥ח ū·šə·laḥ and send him GRAM DICO
לִקְרָאתָ֖ם liq·rā·ṯām to meet them GRAM DICO
וְיֹאמַ֥ר wə·yō·mar and let him say GRAM DICO
､
הֲשָׁלֽוֹם׃ hă·šā·lō·wm. [is it] peace GRAM DICO

וַיֵּלֶךְ֩ way·yê·leḵ so went GRAM DICO
רֹכֵ֨ב rō·ḵêḇ on horseback GRAM DICO
הַסּ֜וּס has·sūs the horseman GRAM DICO
לִקְרָאת֗וֹ liq·rā·ṯōw, to meet him GRAM DICO
וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
כֹּֽה־ kōh- thus GRAM DICO
אָמַ֤ר ’ā·mar says GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO
､
הֲשָׁל֔וֹם hă·šā·lō·wm, [is it] peace GRAM DICO
؟
וַיֹּ֧אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
יֵה֛וּא yê·hū Jehu GRAM DICO
מַה־ mah- what GRAM DICO
לְּךָ֥ lə·ḵā have you GRAM
וּלְשָׁל֖וֹם ū·lə·šā·lō·wm and to do with peace GRAM DICO
؟
סֹ֣ב sōḇ Turn around GRAM DICO
אֶֽל־ ’el- to GRAM DICO
אַחֲרָ֑י ’a·ḥă·rāy; and follow me GRAM DICO
וַיַּגֵּ֤ד way·yag·gêḏ so reported GRAM DICO
､
הַצֹּפֶה֙ haṣ·ṣō·p̄eh the watchman GRAM DICO
לֵאמֹ֔ר lê·mōr, saying GRAM DICO
､
בָּֽא־ bā- went GRAM DICO
הַמַּלְאָ֥ךְ ham·mal·’āḵ the messenger GRAM DICO
עַד־ ‘aḏ- to GRAM DICO
הֵ֖ם hêm them GRAM DICO
､
וְלֹֽא־ wə·lō- but not GRAM DICO
שָֽׁב׃ šāḇ. is coming back GRAM DICO

וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח way·yiš·laḥ, And he sent out GRAM DICO
רֹכֵ֣ב rō·ḵêḇ on horseback GRAM DICO
סוּס֮ sūs a horseman GRAM DICO
､
שֵׁנִי֒ šê·nî second GRAM DICO
וַיָּבֹ֣א way·yā·ḇō and who came GRAM DICO
אֲלֵהֶ֔ם ’ă·lê·hem, to them GRAM DICO
וַיֹּ֛אמֶר way·yō·mer and said GRAM DICO
､
כֹּֽה־ kōh- thus GRAM DICO
אָמַ֥ר ’ā·mar says GRAM DICO
הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ ham·me·leḵ the king GRAM DICO
､
שָׁל֑וֹם šā·lō·wm; [Is it] peace GRAM DICO
؟
וַיֹּ֧אמֶר way·yō·mer and answered GRAM DICO
､
יֵה֛וּא yê·hū Jehu GRAM DICO
מַה־ mah- what GRAM DICO
לְּךָ֥ lə·ḵā have you GRAM
וּלְשָׁל֖וֹם ū·lə·šā·lō·wm and to do with peace GRAM DICO

､
הַצֹּפֶה֙ haṣ·ṣō·p̄eh the watchman GRAM DICO
לֵאמֹ֔ר lê·mōr, saying GRAM DICO
､
בָּ֥א bā He went up GRAM DICO
עַד־ ‘aḏ- even GRAM DICO
אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם ’ă·lê·hem to them GRAM DICO
וְלֹֽא־ wə·lō- and not GRAM DICO
שָׁ֑ב šāḇ; is coming back GRAM DICO
–
וְהַמִּנְהָ֗ג wə·ham·min·hāḡ, and the driving [is] GRAM DICO
כְּמִנְהַג֙ kə·min·haḡ like the driving GRAM DICO
יֵה֣וּא yê·hū of Jehu GRAM DICO
בֶן־ ḇen- son GRAM DICO
נִמְשִׁ֔י nim·šî, of Nimshi GRAM DICO
–
כִּ֥י kî for GRAM DICO
בְשִׁגָּע֖וֹן ḇə·šig·gā·‘ō·wn furiously GRAM DICO
יִנְהָֽג׃ yin·hāḡ. he drives GRAM DICO
