אֵ֣לֶּה ’êl·leh These [are] GRAM DICO

תוֹלְד֧וֹת ṯō·wl·ḏō·wṯ the generations GRAM DICO

הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם haš·šā·ma·yim the heavens GRAM DICO

וְהָאָ֖רֶץ wə·hā·’ā·reṣ and the earth GRAM DICO

בְּהִבָּֽרְאָ֑ם bə·hib·bā·rə·’ām; when they were created GRAM DICO

､

בְּי֗וֹם bə·yō·wm, in the day GRAM DICO

עֲשׂ֛וֹת ‘ă·śō·wṯ that made GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֥ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

אֱלֹהִ֖ים ’ĕ·lō·hîm God GRAM DICO

אֶ֥רֶץ ’e·reṣ the earth GRAM DICO

וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃ wə·šā·mā·yim. and the heavens GRAM DICO

טֶ֣רֶם ṭe·rem before GRAM DICO

יִצְמָ֑ח yiṣ·māḥ; had grown GRAM DICO

כִּי֩ kî for GRAM DICO

לֹ֨א lō not GRAM DICO

הִמְטִ֜יר him·ṭîr had caused it to rain GRAM DICO

יְהוָ֤ה Yah·weh Yahweh GRAM DICO

אֱלֹהִים֙ ’ĕ·lō·hîm God GRAM DICO

עַל־ ‘al- on GRAM DICO

הָאָ֔רֶץ hā·’ā·reṣ, the earth GRAM DICO

､

וְאָדָ֣ם wə·’ā·ḏām and man GRAM DICO

אַ֔יִן ’a·yin, [there was] not GRAM DICO

לַֽעֲבֹ֖ד la·‘ă·ḇōḏ to cultivate GRAM DICO

הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ hā·’ă·ḏā·māh. the ground GRAM DICO

הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה hā·’ă·ḏā·māh, the ground GRAM DICO

וַיִּפַּ֥ח way·yip·paḥ and breathed GRAM DICO

בְּאַפָּ֖יו bə·’ap·pāw into his nostrils GRAM DICO

נִשְׁמַ֣ת niš·maṯ the breath GRAM DICO

חַיִּ֑ים ḥay·yîm; of life GRAM DICO

וַֽיְהִ֥י way·hî and became GRAM DICO

הָֽאָדָ֖ם hā·’ā·ḏām the man GRAM DICO

לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ lə·ne·p̄eš a being GRAM DICO

חַיָּֽה׃ ḥay·yāh. living GRAM DICO

וַיִּטַּ֞ע way·yiṭ·ṭa‘ And planted GRAM DICO

גַּן־ gan- a garden GRAM DICO

בְעֵ֖דֶן bə·‘ê·ḏen in Eden GRAM DICO

מִקֶּ֑דֶם miq·qe·ḏem; in the east GRAM DICO

וַיָּ֣שֶׂם way·yā·śem and He put GRAM DICO

שָׁ֔ם šām, there GRAM DICO

אֶת־ ’eṯ- - GRAM DICO

הָֽאָדָ֖ם hā·’ā·ḏām the man GRAM DICO

אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer whom GRAM DICO

יָצָֽר׃ yā·ṣār. He had formed GRAM DICO

וַיַּצְמַ֞ח way·yaṣ·maḥ And made grow GRAM DICO

לְמַאֲכָ֑ל lə·ma·’ă·ḵāl; for food GRAM DICO

וְעֵ֤ץ wə·‘êṣ and the tree GRAM DICO

הַֽחַיִּים֙ ha·ḥay·yîm of life [was] GRAM DICO

בְּת֣וֹךְ bə·ṯō·wḵ in the midst GRAM DICO

הַגָּ֔ן hag·gān, of the garden GRAM DICO

וְעֵ֕ץ wə·‘êṣ and the tree GRAM DICO

הַדַּ֖עַת had·da·‘aṯ of the knowledge GRAM DICO

ט֥וֹב ṭō·wḇ of good GRAM DICO

וָרָֽע׃ wā·rā‘. and evil GRAM DICO

וְנָהָרּ֙ wə·nā·hār Now a river GRAM DICO

יֹצֵ֣א yō·ṣê went out GRAM DICO

מֵעֵ֔דֶן mê·‘ê·ḏen, of Eden GRAM DICO
